Seochon Guesthouse

We loved our stay at Seochon Guesthouse ! It was so much more than a stay in a traditional hanok but a truly privileged experience thanks to Shin and Li who are the most welcoming and attentive hosts. Staying here will allowed us a glimpse into Korean culture and traditions, all the local foodie recommendations that you can dream of + you’re in an incredible part of town, sophisticated but characterful and central.

The space was warm, welcoming, and full of character a 100 year old traditionell house, a home that reflected literature, travels, music and a love for healthy Korean food, and a strong family spirit. It felt personal and peaceful, with so many thoughtful details that made the stay feel special. The breakfast was home-cooked traditional Korean food made with local produce. It was prepared with warmth and thoughtfulness, and it felt like such a luxury to enjoy a home-cooked meal every day. The location was also perfect, close to the subway and buses and within walking distance of many major attractions. What made the stay truly memorable, though, was the warmth and attention of the hosts. They were always generous with their time and care, always asking if I needed anything, and they showed so much pride and joy in sharing the best of Seoul and Korea.

Its like staying with your mom and dad in a different country. We usually stay in hotels. My husband and I had a great time chatting with Lee and Shin and had a homely experience in Korea. Great location for seeing palace nearby, touristy area. Easy to find.

We could not have had a better stay than at the Seochon Guesthouse with Shin and Lee. The location was perfect for both major sights and local shops. The hosts are wonderful people who made us feel like part of the family, especially with the delicious breakfast every morning. Slept very well in the comfortable bed and quiet environment. We will stay here again the next time we visit Seoul!
