Great stay at Spring Cottage. For our anniversary this year we just wanted a 'home from home', and this was ideal. Comfy cosy and clean. The bed as other reviews say really is comfortable, had a good night sleep here both nights. We had a wander into Penistone, the cottage is located near the local pubs, cafes, shops etc , and was also nice to bring back a takeaway and relax in the evening. Communication was good from Michelle who made us feel really welcome in the lead up to the trip. We would definitely stay again.
Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage stairs could be considered a 'downside' depending on guests, as to be expected for an old cottage the stairs are quite steep, this was not an issue for us but could be difficult for someone with mobility issues so just worth noting when booking. There is also a little step up almost (mentioned in another review) between the kitchen floor and living room floor I did trip on at first, but once you know it's there it's fine, once again just worth noting. Parking was the only real issue for us, there is on street parking at the top of the lane, but when we first arrived the wasn't much space so it felt like a bit of messing about, could be annoying on a busy day, and on booking we originally thought there would be on site parking. I also found it really tight when I did drive down the lane to load the car up when going home - this is mentioned in the guide though.

Lovely cosy cottage.
Great facilities.
Lovely host who sent excellent instructions.
Because of the nature of stone cottages, there are natural quirks that make it less accessible if you have any mobility issues.
The step between the living room and kitchen is difficult to see. I tripped a couple of times.
The stairs are also difficult to manage if you have any level of mobility issue.

Great cottage in ideal central location. One king bed and two singles made it ideal for the family. Host communication was also good.
