Villa Minou Ta Khmau near Airport

An absolute gem near the airport! ​We had a fantastic stay at Villa Minou. Even though we arrived very late, our hosts, Ingrid and Thomas, kindly waited for us and gave us a warm welcome. ​The room was perfect extremely quiet and comfortable. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast right by the beautiful pool. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our short stay. To top it all off, they even dropped us off at the airport the next morning, which is a super convenient 15-minute drive from the villa. ​We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, peace, and top-notch hospitality near the airport!

The villa is lovely. It has a great pool and area plus a common room to relax in. Our rooms were large, light and clean. The owners who are French, were great and extremely helpful in advising us (the husband speaks good English) and calling a tuk tuk to go to the local river markets and restaurant. We enjoyed our fresh breakfast and would have enjoyed another day relaxing around the villa but needed to catch a flight. At the moment it is one of the closest hotels to the new airport.

Lovely building and pool, huge room, tastefully furnished. With plenty of wardrobe space and draws. Good AC. Welcomed by owners who recommended a restaurant which was good. Kindly offered airport drop off but not quite as competitive in price but for ease it’s a great additional service.

The bed mattress was rock hard and so uncomfortable. The shower was cold even after running the water a long time but we did not shower until late so felt unable to raise this with them. Told on arrival payment in cash only. No bank transfer / no card option. Looked again at the booking.com description and could not find this stated anywhere. Fortunately we did have cash otherwise we would have to find an ATM! Not ideal. A kettle and tea/coffee in the room would be a nice addition as we had to leave for the airport before breakfast started so a coffee would have been appreciated.
