About this bed and breakfast
Guests can start the day with a hearty farmhouse breakfast, with a selection of homemade preserves, flavoured butter, and freshly laid eggs from the resident ducks and chickens. In the spring, mushrooms are flavoured with local wild garlic and the autumn sees apple season with freshly pressed apple juice, laced with ginger, and homegrown tomatoes from the smallholding.
An outside seating area receives the sun in the morning and makes and ideal place from which to watch the bats in the evening, stargaze, and listen out for owls hooting in the neighbouring woods. Relax in the evenings in the lounge, with its cosy wooden beams and inglenook fireplace.
Touches of luxury are added with feather duvet, jumbo towels, a reading 'nook', a wide selection of teas and coffee in the room, Amazon Prime with surround sound in the lounge, and a cosy log burner for the cooler evenings.
We aim to make your stay feel like a home from home, and a welcome retreat, from which to explore Cornwall.
The area is quiet and a popular spot for horse riding and cycling. Although tucked away, its central location makes all the popular tourist destinations easily accessible. Padstow, Truro, Eden Project, Watergate Bay, Bodmin Moor, Wadebridge, Newquay, Mawgan Porth are all within a 20-minutes drive, and its proximity to Wadebridge showground makes it the ideal spot for visiting the annual Royal Cornwall Show.
