After a day of adventure, return to Black Pearl 1—a cozy studio suite and one of three rental units in the building. This thoughtfully designed space offers everything you need to relax and recharge. Enjoy a comfortable queen-size bed with a TV perfectly positioned for viewing from either the bed or the couch. The modern bathroom features a spacious walk-in rain shower, creating a peaceful sanctuary to unwind.
The compact, modern kitchenette is equipped with basic essentials including plates, cutlery, and a mini fridge—ideal for light meal prep before heading out for the day. The kitchenette flows into a cozy living area, where you can relax and catch up on your favorite shows with the smart TV and cable service. The sofa also pulls out to accommodate one additional guest. If you plan to use the pull-out bed, please request linens in advance so we can have them ready for your stay.
Kitchenette Information: This unit features a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, air fryer, kettle, regular drip coffee maker, toaster, and BBQ. A mini fridge is available, so we recommend bringing only a small amount of food. Please note that counter space is limited, making this unit best suited for guests who prefer to dine out or prepare light meals. (We provide a selection of basic kitchen essentials, including: Salt, pepper, cooking oil, saran wrap, and tinfoil, Cutlery, plates, glasses, and other basic dishware)

**Black Pearl 1 is one of three rental units within the building. Each unit is provided with one designated parking stall and shared access to an outdoor shower. This suite is located right beside Black Pearl 2, so the front BBQ porch area has limited privacy due to the close proximity of the neighboring unit. If privacy is a top priority for your stay, this unit may not be the best fit.
**If you're traveling with a larger group, you're welcome to rent the neighboring suite—Black Pearl #2—in addition to this one. Together, both suites can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children, making it a great option for families or friends traveling together.
Host notes:
**This suite is part of a building with three other units, so some noise transfer between units may occur. The bathroom fan does run 24/7 and can cause some disturbance at night for noise sensitive guests. We provide ear plugs complimentary if either of these aspects are bothersome to your stay.
**The kitchenette is compact and does not include an oven or stove. Instead, we provide an air fryer for your convenience.
**Each suite includes one designated parking spot. Please note that street parking is not available
**The suite includes a pull-out couch. Due to the space and layout, we recommend a maximum occupancy of 2 adults and 1 child (linens for the sofa bed must be requested in advance)

Very clean and nicely decorated modern room. Danielle did an excellent job communicating before ,during and after my stay.
Parking is tight and would be great if there was hot plate for items that can’t be cooked in a microwave.
Overall highly recommend the Black Pearl.

We stayed for a full week at Black Pearl #1-Studio and it was one of the nicest places we've rented while visiting Ucluelet over the years.
The studio felt incredibly cozy, warm, and welcoming right from the moment we arrived. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into the little details: there was a dog bowl, towels, poop bags, and treats waiting for our pup, plus a tasty local coffee and bag of chips for us—such a nice touch!
The sun deck was a highlight. It was lovely to sit out there in the afternoon sunshine, enjoying the quiet, tucked-away neighborhood. We even had a couple of cute banana slug “guests” visit the deck, which added to the fun, quirky West Coast vibe.
Inside, the bathroom was really nice (especially the rain shower head), and the bed with its soft pillows was super comfortable—we slept so well. The whole space felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully set up.
The location is fantastic: just a short stroll to Little Beach and close to the Wild Pacific Trail. It made visiting our friends in Ucluelet so convenient.
The host was amazing—responsive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Everything about this stay was a great experience. If you're looking for a comfortable, dog-friendly spot in Ucluelet, this is it. We’d definitely stay again!

We stayed for a full week at Black Pearl #1-Studio and it was one of the nicest places we've rented while visiting Ucluelet over the years.
