Gorizia Apartment by Wonderful Italy

Ottima posizione per poter raggiungere qualsiasi cosa a piedi. È un appartamento bello grande e spazioso con camere confortevoli

Purtroppo non è stato proprio facile poter entrare perché c’è stato un disguido con i codici di accesso. Alcune prese non funzionavano

It’s a very large apartment and was nice to have two full bathrooms, even if one has a jacuzzi tub without a stand up shower. We were also quite happy to have the ‘cozy’ elevator. The washing machine was very appreciated after being on the road for several days without one; and the dishwasher (after we figured out we had to strongly close the door so it would run) was also nice to have. New and good quality bath towels, and bed sheets. The surrounding streets might look a bit dirty or run down but we never felt unsafe. Lots of families live in the area. And being only a few minutes walk to the train/bus station was super convenient for day trips without a rental car. It is also in easy walking distance to many main historical sights.

The kitchen is minimally equipped; it had no large bowl to make salad; and only 4 small salad bowls and 4 dinner plates - for a place that can sleep at least 6 people!!! Also no salt and pepper, no dish towels, no table napkins - fabric or paper, and no wine corkscrew. No coffee or tea bags or any little welcome snacks like many other apartments throughout Italy. And no paper towels so it was somewhat difficult to clean or wipe down surfaces (didn’t like using the very used sponge) before we bought some. The frying pan was bent out of shape - like te bottom of it had been hit by a hammer a few times. A toaster and microwave would be nice additions, too. We were two couples using the two rooms with the large beds. There was only one large duvet available! And in mid-October, it was cool enough to need a blanket. We contacted the property management company Wonderful Italy, who quickly requested another for us. But then Wonderful Italy had to tell us that the cleaning person said none was available. Fortunately the twin bedded room had two small duvets for those beds, but good luck to a larger group…

La posizione è buona. Dall' appartamento si raggiungono a piedi, e in un tempo ragionevole, diversi punti di interesse. L'edificio in cui si trova l' appartamento (terzo piano) ha l' ascensore. In definitiva, a parte alcuni dettagli, l' appartamento era comodo per le nostre esigenze.

La casa non è curata nei minimi particolari. Prima di affittare una casa, bisognerebbe accertarsi che tutto al suo interno funzioni. La TV sembra finta, messa lì solo per dire che ce n'è una in casa, ed era quindi non funzionante. Era totalmente sporca. Telecomando senza batterie. Anche se non si và in vacanza per guardare la TV, mi aspetto che tutto ciò che si trova in casa funzioni. Anche la presa elettrica, cui si dovrebbe collegare il cavo della TV, non era in buone condizioni. Ho contattato l' assistenza, disponibile solo dalle 9 alle 21 e, dopo svariati messaggi e richieste, mi è stato detto che nel fine settimana era stato impossibile avere un manutentore disponibile. Dopo altri infiniti messaggi, mi hanno accordato un piccolo rimborso per il disguido. Parlando di prese elettriche, la presa dell' abat-jour di una delle camere era completamente rotta. Ci è stato chiesto di buttare l'immondizia, cosa che è normale, ma non ci è stato fornito e non era presente in casa di default, un calendario della raccolta indifferenziata.

accés compliqué et manque de réactivité. en fait l'appartement est géré par une agence qui ne se trouve pas en Sicile mais à 2000 km. L’appartement est impersonnel avec un équipement très limité... bref une location sans saveur
