BirdScapes Kumarakom Homestay

One of the best homestay and it was very peaceful and people hosts are very good.

If I could give Birdscape more than 10/10, I would! From the moment I arrived, Minnie made me feel like family. She was constantly bringing me tea and coffee, and every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. She even invited me to a family friend's wedding, which was such a special experience and gave me a wonderful glimpse into local life. Allen took me on two beautiful boat trips through the canals, where we explored the backwaters, saw village life and the stunning water lilies. They have their own boat and can arrange canal tours, which I highly recommend. Allen and Abin speak English, while Minnie knows a few basic words and somehow always made me feel completely at home. The room was comfortable with both air conditioning and a fan. There's also a bicycle you can borrow to ride into the nearby village, a little shop across the road for snacks and cold drinks, and they can even order takeaways if you need them. This was so much more than a homestay. It felt like staying with family. Thank you, Minnie, Allen and Abin, for your incredible kindness and hospitality. I hope to return one day!

Loved the warm and welcoming nature of Abin and Alan and the sumptuous food prepared by their mother who own this beautiful home with a boat. They are honest, caring and professional. Kerala is a place infested with mosquitos, but the owners managed to keep the room mosquito-free.They are new in the hospitality business but hospitality comes naturally to this family.
