Kennie Cottage

Beautifully appointed cottage right near the harbour and a short walk to the main centre. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

The parking situation is poor. We arrived to find that the occupants of the cottage next door had parked their SUV style vehicle in their rightful place but unfortunately this meant that there was absolutely no way to park our own SUV type vehicle in our designated space due to the protruding extension on Kennie cottage and a wooden store nearby (see photos provided). It was nearly impossible to drive past the parked car (wing mirrors needed to be folded in to ensure we could) as the alley is very narrow and this ultimately meant that we had to park on a street approximately half a mile away.

Location excellent- well equipped, comfortable beds, spacious front bedroom, good sized 2nd bedroom, peaceful location.

Parking space at rear of property suitable for small to medium car. Bit of a squeeze for my SUV so found parking in nearby street. Took a bit of time to get used to the thermostat in bathroom. Earlier query re hairdryer not answered so took my own; found one inside wardrobe front bedroom.

It was a lovely house. They had thought of everything and even though it’s not advertised there’s space for a small car to park at the back.

Loved everything about the cottage, it was a beautiful and homely place to stay, everything required was there already, alongside a lovely welcome pack. The cottage was immaculately clean and a 2 minute walk to the harbour, situated behind the Main Street.

We had to park in the main car park as the space was too tight for our car to get around the back, without neighbours having to move theirs. A mirror above or on the dressing table in the main bedroom was the only thing missing for us inside. Outside we couldn’t see a recycling bin and previous tenant had left a lot of glass bottles directly outside the back door too.
