Charming Sapphire Shores Bungalow with Backyard Oasis

Very nice property. Property managers couldn’t have been better to work with. Our favorite part was the privacy of the property. Very nice established neighborhood with wild peacocks roaming around. Had an issue with the pool heater which was disappointing as the water was a bit chilly. Was unable to get it resolved prior to our departure, but property owner and property manager worked with us on partial refund.

This place was great! The host was very responsive. We loved the space, the backyard, the neighborhood.

Host was very welcoming. Home was very nice with a few exceptions. Blinds on front windows/door with missing several blinds - felt like we were sitting in a fish bowl in the evening with the lights on. Had to purchase toilet paper to get us through the week and no back up trash bags, only the one in the can. Remote controls did not work for lights and we were just guessing how to use them as there were no instructions.

First off.....my wife and I enjoyed our stay in Sarasota. We are very familiar with this part of the state and have several friends that we visited.Now for the nitty gritty. Having rented many VRBO's, this is my critique of this particular residence. The home is situated in a very quiet and older neighborhood near "Jungle Gardens", & "Ringling Museum". 10 minutes to St Armands, and 20 minutes to Siesta Key. Upon arrival I always do a walk through and make note of anything that seems not up to "par". This is that list: 1) Vertical blinds @ front door were missing numerous blinds and the ones that were there did not operate properly. 2) 1 roll of TP and 1 roll of paper towels, and empty hand soap @ kitchen sink, clothes dryer was broken. 3) Doorknob @ bedroom off Pool was very loose.... 4) Bathtub drained VERY slow, you were standing in ankle deep water in no time, Left bathroom sink also drained very slow. 5) Barbecue area was mostly inoperable. 6) Outdoor lighting @ barbeque area was controlled by homeowner with an ECHO dot hidden in rafters. 7) 1 outdoor umbrella was broken.....never sat under it. 8) Light globe @ 2nd bedroom missing. 9) NO "Guest book" with instructions for all components of house. Now the Host "Steven" was very available an tried to correct some things. Several of the items above were corrected. Thank you Steven. We did enjoy our time here and saw the good things that this home offered.
