Upstairs, you’ll discover a cosy lounge area with lovely views of the farm, creating a serene atmosphere. The second large bedroom, also located on this floor, boasts a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room for added convenience. This bedroom has a Juliet balcony, providing picturesque views of the surrounding farm.
Both bedrooms come with TVs, ensuring entertainment during your stay, while the cottage also offers free Wi-Fi. Additionally, there’s ample parking space available, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation in a peaceful setting. Your furry friend is welcome, but note that ducks and farm animals are nearby, so pets must be leashed when necessary. Plus, two nearby pet-friendly beaches make this a perfect spot for your furry companion!
Horseshoe Cottage provides a tranquil rural retreat near the beach, with easy access to Southeast Cornwall’s many attractions. The property sits on three acres of land, which guests are welcome to explore, including an organic vegetable and herb garden, a chicken house for fresh eggs, and ponds home to beautiful Cayuga ducks.
Downderry Village is just a 20-minute walk downhill, offering a charming local pub with stunning 180-degree sea views and a restaurant. The beach stretches along the coastline in both directions, revealing rock pools to explore at low tide. Heading west along the beach, you’ll reach Seaton Village, where two beach cafés and a children’s play park await. From here, you can also enjoy the scenic Otter Trail along the river through Seaton Valley Park.

We were met by our host,Guy who showed us our accommodation and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable, lovely shower rooms. The upstairs lounge area was just the ticket after a long day, being able to see the lovely views with a cuppa. The beach is only a short distance away with a lovely pub offering sea views. Very peaceful and relaxing,would recommend and would love to go back again. Our little dog enjoyed his stay too. 😃 Thank you to Guy.
