The apartment itself is modern, clean, comfortable, and in a good location. The city center can be reached within approximately 10–15 minutes by walk. It could have been an excellent place to finish our long trip around Italy and Sicily…

This point require special attention: The experience starts with an online check-in process that already appears unnecessarily complicated and particularly user-unfriendly. After completing a number of requirements, we were granted access to an app that controls three separate doors: 1. the building entrance, 2. the floor entrance, and finally 3. the apartment door itself. While the first two doors were merely unintuitive, the apartment door became a genuine detective challenge. The system provides NO clarity regarding which of the many apartment doors on the floor it actually opens. There are multiple coded doors, and the provided video only explain the most basic route from the street to the elevator. It does not explain the final and most critical step - which door is the right one. It took us approximately 30 minutes to gain access to the apartment. During that time, we encountered other confused guests trying to solve the same puzzle. The situation is made even worse by the weak mobile signal inside the building. Since the entire system depends oninternet connection, the app frequently created errors and failed attempts, while the owner was repeatedly providing us with the app access to the app via whatsapp, but not communicate with us at all. What truly damaged our stay was what happened afterward. Our 75-year-old mom simply wanted to return to the apartment and rest after a long and intensive day. When she came back, she was unable to gain access to the building and spent a considerable amount of time outside until we cancelled our dinner and rushed back to help her.. After that experience, she was reluctant to leave the apartment alone for the remainder of our stay because she was afraid of getting locked out again in the „digital prison. the apartment itself is new, comfortable, and well-maintained. unfortunately, the entry system turns what should be a welcoming accommodation into what feels more like a "digital prison.
