Studio in Oldtown

Room was lovely, good size and the kitchenette had everything I needed. It has a washer and dryer which is always wonderful when you've been travelling a while.

I had to request the code for the room the morning of arrival on my transit there which I was annoyed about. I have travelled all over Europe and codes are usually sent a day or 2 before. The hot water in the shower never seemed to get that hot. The pillows on the bed were uncomfortable. A bedside lamp would be good.

It is a very nice apartment with everything I need. Great location that is close to the bus station and old town. Good cafés/bakeries nearby. Perfect for solo travelers.

The apartment faces a busy road with buses. One can hear traffic noise and conversation on the street even with the windows closed. It dies down after 11 p.m. and starts again at about 6:30 a.m.

The apartment is incredibly pretty! Really nicely decorated and very very clean. Cute chocolates, some items in the fridge, and laundry supplies were really nice and helpful touches! The water pressure in the shower is good. There is a small space heater which is very helpful for drying clothes. Check in was very straightforward. Good wifi and good location if you’re getting the bus to another Baltic city! Didn’t really have any communication with the host but they seem nice and I had no problems so no reason to contact them. Didn’t use the parking as I came by bus, but a great feature to have. Again must say it was truely spotlessly clean as I think that’s incredibly important and a great thing about this place! :) Photos were taken at check-out so please excuse my mess

Overall the unit is really lovely but there were a couple of key things that would stop me from returning. - I think having a fold out couch as the bed is a mistake. It is not uncomfortable per se, but still much less comfortable than a bed. It was not soft enough for me personally, but this is subjective, so if you like your bedding firm perhaps you will like it! :) Feels like a couch structurally. - The slat blinds don’t fully block the sun from coming in in the morning. The addition of some blockout curtains would be fantastic and an easy fix. - There is a reed diffuser with a very strong smell that was quite unpleasantly overpowering. Really hits you when you walk in the front door and I struggled to adjust to it. Mostly fixed by placing it in a cupboard for my stay though so no biggie! - My biggest dislike was that the hot water in the shower only lasts about 10-12 minutes and takes a long time to heat back up. Probably more than enough for most people and I am overreacting, but I like a long hot shower -I visited in December and the room did still get quite warm and required open windows as some others have noted. No problem in Winter for me but I think it could be a struggle come Summer - On the second floor (two and a half flights of stairs) with no elevator, but that is to be expected in a lovely old building like this. Not a complaint, just a heads up because it was difficult :) Overall very very nice and no problem is big, but just not the place for me
