The best place in Kuta beach. Especially if you plan to learn surfing. We stay here everytime we come to Kuta. Rooms for every budget, good cleaning, delicious breakfastes by menu, location - the beach is right across the road. Beachwalk is 7 minutes on foot, a lot of restaurants nearby.

Return guest. Live the location and pool but a few minor annoyances. One is that water dispenser and fridge in dorm not working. Put my food in there (I didn't notice because it was late and I was focused on being silent like a ninja) and it was ruined. Also they make you fill out several forms for no apartment reason, I always find that mildly annoying. Would book again though, these things are just nuisances.

Pros: The place looks nice and matches the photos. Staff clearly listened to feedback from past reviews, since WiFi now reaches the rooms. The night guard who let me in after midnight was kind, calm, and genuinely helpful. He allowed me to work in the restaurant until 3am, which helped a lot and was the best part of the stay. That support is the main reason for the 4-star staff rating. Cons: WiFi quality was not reliable enough for remote work. Speeds averaged around 3/1 Mbps and my Zoom call dropped multiple times, making screen sharing and teaching impossible. While WiFi technically reaches the rooms, the stability and upload speed are not sufficient for anyone who needs to work online. There was also no WiFi in the bathroom at all. The 4-bed dorm had insects and mosquitoes, which was especially uncomfortable given the heat. The mattress felt very springy and uncomfortable, making proper rest difficult. Dorm bed privacy is also limited. One side of the bed remains fully exposed, so you can clearly see the person inside from that angle, which defeats the purpose of the curtains. Cleanliness was an issue as well. Sand was tracked into the dorm, including by roommates wearing shoes inside, and the overall space did not feel well maintained. My first experience of the beach directly outside the hostel was also disappointing, with visible trash along the shoreline. I booked an 8-night stay through Agoda that was marked nonrefundable. Given the issues, Agoda offered only a partial refund of $11.64 on a $78 booking. While I appreciate receiving anything back, it reflects how limited the options are once you arrive and realize the space isn’t suitable. Overall, this place works for budget travelers who plan to surf, socialize, and stay mostly offline. It is not a good fit for remote work, recovery, or anyone who needs reliable internet, privacy, or a clean and quiet environment.
