    I booked this hotel out of curiosity since it had such great reviews over here. And it didnt disappoint me. Ok location wise, it is almost essential that you have your own car. The hotel/cottage is up a hill and it is secluded enough that you can't see it until you are almost at its door. The only road up is a narrow, and very windy 2 carriage road to it. There is no streetlights all the way and it can be a bit scary to drive up the hill after sun down if you are not used to itMake sure you rent a better car with LED headlights The lady at the reception was warm and friendly and she was able to explain everything to me in good english. The room they assigned to me.... OMG, I believe its the biggest tatami room they have and its a 2 room unit! The room can easily sleep 6 and I am all alone. Room was superbly clean and everything looks brand new. Air con was very well cleaned and maint and was very quiet. Being a true home based tatami room, it is not jammed with amenities inside. 2 tables and cushions are all you get in terms of furniture. Bathroom is shared and it works well. However I am not so sure if the hotel is fully booked. The breakfast was included in my room price. The place put much emphasis on being one with nature and everything we ate was purchased or grown locally. Its a full veg meal. But the dishes tastes great. The lady (boss?) above also serve breakfast to the guests The onsite onsen was great too.
