After looking at the other reviews I thought this would be the worst hotel on the planet but I thought the room was decent and I slept very well
Everything was fine really

The Star Hotel is THE friendliest accommodation I've ever stayed in. They couldn't do enough for me, and the biggest bonus was a disco the first night, then, on the second night, a live band. Best place ever. All the staff super friendly and helpful, plus all the patrons made this Southener very welcome indeed. The room was exceptionally clean, and I honestly couldn't fault it at all. Parking was great too.

The beds was comfy would have preferred a double bed however knew it could be two singles . Iron in room
The cold tap was dripping . The towel radiator on wall bare wires showing so did not use . Lots of limescale to taps and shower head . The shower was dirty. It is on a busy road so quite noisy . We paid 74 for one night which is expensive for what you get
