Had a lovely stay food was much better this year however the menu could be a bit more varied.

Room was clean and had everything we needed, with the nice addition of some balloons and a birthday message on our return after a day out for our daughter, having told them why we were there on arrival.
Staff really helpful throughout.
Last minute decision to eat in the bar area (restaurant fully booked) provided us with nice meals, which was against some of the reviews we had read, so I am assuming improvements have been made. Drink choices were good.
Breakfast was also good. My wife assured me the full English was tasty, the alternatives I could have were all very nice.
Quick use of the pool on our second day before breakfast. It was popular, but everything was clean. Didn’t get chance to use jacuzzi or steam and sauna unfortunately.
Only gripe was people smoking directly outside/slightly in, the entrance lobby, but that is just how some people are. I guess even if they were asked to step 3metres to the side they wouldn’t. But one for the reception staff to at least try?
