居住品質不錯，房內備有洗衣機可使用，亦提供烤箱及微波爐，並附有鍋具與碗盤等廚房用品；惟附近缺乏生鮮超市，實際使用機會不高。
交通方面，從箱根湯本車站前往住宿處可搭乘公車（僅單向），回程則需步行。由大馬路至住宿處須經過一段較陡的坡道，之後還需上樓梯至二樓，行走上略感費力。

外観が古く、ヴィンテージ感があったが、内観はリノベーションがうまくされており、清潔感があった。布団で寝てもベッドで寝ても、寝心地が良かった。
ティッシュ(ボックスティッシュ)が鼻をかんだ時にタバコ臭かった。もしかしたらカビの臭い？だったのかも。洗面所を使う時にどうしても洗濯機まわりが目に入ってしまい、洗濯機の後ろが汚くて嫌でした。お風呂場の目地や洗面所の目地などが黒カビがあり気になった。日陰でじめじめしているせいか、蚊が多く、玄関の出入りを素早くする努力をしたが、それでも玄関ドア近くにかなりいるようで、どうしても入って来てしまい嫌だった。４人での利用だったが、ボックスティッシュもキッチンペーパーもトイレットペーパーも足りなかった。座敷の部屋の照明が暗かった。ハウスキーピングの方にチェックアウトの際にたまたま会ったのだが、タバコを吸っていて話かけてきて不快だった。
