Long John Cottage

The cottage was clean and well presented. The key was easy to obtain. The cottage had all the items for a great stay. So close to the beach,.and quiet when staying in.

Extra cutlery please!

The cottage was very clean and well thought out. The location was good for us. A little further out of town than where we normally stay but it was good. We normally spend a good portion of our summers in Redcar but for personal reasons this year we were going to skip so this was a last minute booking. It worked out well.

The water pressure was really poor. The beds are small for two adults to sleep in. My girls also felt the bed was small and one slept on the sofa.

Fantastic location . Only a few minutes walk from the beach . Extremely clean, cosy, perfect size. Bathroom is a fantastic luxurious!. Shower not so powerful but still it was like home from home as ours is the same . Just a water pressure issue. Nice little garden . Perfect to sit and have a morning coffee . Sit and listen to the Seagulls. The bed was really comfortable. The lounge was so cosy ,Clean and homely. Tv has all the Apps so you could login on your own account. When we arrive we were greeted with a gift. A bottle and nibbles . So amazingly thoughtful ( THANK YOU ) just what I needed after a busy motorway drive . I did take a video of the place as I wanted to show the family as the house was stunning ! Oh and thanks you Mick for the instructions on how to get inside. We read the book about Redcar so interesting to see all the photos .

Nothing it was perfect

We liked everything. The cottage is beautifully kept both inside and out and it is clear to see no expense has been spared on the furnishings and decoration. Every area was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was indeed welcome. Location is perfect just two streets back from the promenade and beach and very close to a lovely park and lots of shops,eateries and pubs. Parking was never an issue with plenty of on street parking bang outside the door and permit provided by our brilliant and very communicative host. Dog friendly with a completely secure outside area and yet no doggy smell whatsoever. Extremely comfortable beds with beautiful bedding and big, thick fluffy towels.

Our only niggle was the water pressure in the shower was very low and sometimes took a couple of minutes for the water to appear at all which meant one of our group who has waist length hair couldnt wash her hair at all during our stay. The bathroom is a great size and beautifully finished. The table outside in the secured patio area only had two chairs one of which was damaged and in need of replacement.
