It was warm, cosy, clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Excellent location for exploring North Yorkshire and good access to the Leeds Bradford Airport. We were a little worried that the air traffic noise would disturb our stay, but we didn't even notice it.
Fantastic chippy a couple of minutes walk down the road.
Parking is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle, but it's off the road and super convenient.
At first, the tall members of our party hit their heads going downstairs. Perhaps a warning in the host's instructions would be helpful! Or maybe a "Mind Your Head" notice.
We knew when we booked that this was a one-bathroom property, but it would make the stay so much more comfortable if a second WC could be fitted in somewhere. Maybe under the stairs?
The decor and furniture was rather dated but it suited the cottage.

Place was immaculate with all the facilities you would need.
No hot water when we arrived but sorted out next day.
