Great value and very comfortable stay

There was a smell upon arrival which did not take away from the comfort of our stay at all but it was noticeable when we arrived. Not sure if the previous guests had smoked in the house but it was almost a musty smoke smell. Again the stay was perfect and a couple plug in air fresheners dealt with it.

The owners are very nice people and are very contactable which is very refreshing on Bookings.com

The property was perfectly clean as advertised

As a family with a young child we opted for a house stay rather than a hotel room. The house has been done lovely with everything you might need. Including nice big fluffy towels. The driveway is handy for if you're struggling with getting a space on the street. The communication from the owners was great, all done very professionally with all the information you need.

A few cons- The kitchen smelled strongly of smoke, masked by an overpowering plug in airfreshner. As non smokers we found this a little uncomfortable. The house was not warming up after turning the heating up on the thermostat (stayed here last weekend in November so it was really cold). I had to check the boiler and the radiator dial was turned down to 1 which I thought was unfair. Turned this up and the house warmed up. Although, the radiator in the downstairs bedroom did not work at all. The additional parking on the driveway was difficult to find and access, very tight getting the car in, but it does warn you about this on the checking in info. It stated there is a high chair on the list of facilities but there was no high chair. Couldn't get any of the tv's to work, not sure if they have the wrong remotes with them. When checking in it was dark and there was no light switch to be seen. Had to walk through to the lounge to find a light. Later we realised it is on a motion sensor, but it sometimes came on and sometimes didn't. There are glass windows in the front door which looks straight into the lounge where you sit on the sofa. This felt a little exposed, especially in the evening when you can see into the light.
