Superb 2 bed Apartment Great location

A good location, comfortable and modern interior and a nice little patio area for the dogs to run around

Did not dislike anything . The property was a little too hot when we got there and could do with some solar lights in the garden.

Got to be one of the best stays in a long time. We booked couple of Easter weekend activities- Alton Towers and Trentham Gardens. This property was our base camp. Don’t be put off by the pics of the shop front / advertising, this is the hosts other private business. The property is enormous inside with private parking to the side of the property with easy access to the courtyard and into the kitchen. Super king size bathroom and rooms are cosy. Although we have a very big 5 bed house, this property is advertised as two bed but it was big enough for 6 of us - 3 adults and 3 kids. One of the adults being my daughter who is at Uni and whom we went to visit. I reluctantly booked this property as it was the only one available in the location we wanted and at the time no other bigger property were available. I was not disappointed - two bed rooms but the living room doubled up as a bedroom due to a guest sofa bed being available so my two boys camped there. Host provided enough bedding but the boys took their sleeping bags and enjoyed the stay since there was a massive sky TV !!! The host Dave was a true gentleman. We originally booked for two nights - Easter Friday and Saturday but then decided to stay an extra night to do a visit at trentham gardens which is about 3 miles from the property. Contacted the host (by messaging) on the night before checking out, probably around 1 am to ask if property was available for Sunday night. The host promptly replied and stated he normally gets the cleaners in but it would mean asking the cleaners to come in on the Bank Holiday Monday - note host has other flats in this property rented out that are separate to this let so it meant separately organising the cleaners to come in on the bank holiday to clean after we checked out on Monday morning.

N/A Note. other guests have complained about the noisy road as there is an ambulance site nearby. This in my view nonsense. Yes there is traffic but did not bother us a single bit. Do not read too much into this.

Good location 30 minutes from alton towers which is why we booked. Beds were comfortable apart from my son complaining the sofa bed wasn't. If I'm being very picky the apartment wasn't 100% clean (there was an empty bottle behind bedside drawers) dust on skirting boards but generally clean otherwise. Dave was just a message away and responded promptly which was appreciated. The milk and croissants were a great touch on arrival.

The noise from being on a main road kept us up most of the first night. Its near an ambulance station so sirens woke us alot and the room was boiling hot so couldn't have the window open.

When we first arrived my 5 year old son wanted to get into bed to lie down as we had been travelling all day from Ireland. The first thing he noticed was hairs all in the double bed, I was horrified to see that the bed had not been changed from the previous guests. When I contacted Dave - the host, he apologised and said it was possibly from the washing machine. The sheets were dirty and it was just not acceptable and very unhygienic. Also the double bed is so old and really uncomfortable, springs in your back caused really bad back pain. Needs to be replaced. The apartment was very dirty. The floors where not mopped in a long time, my sons socks where black from the dirt of walking around the kitchen downstairs after 10 minutes. I had to keep making sure we all wore footwear while walking around down stairs. The shower glass enclosure had not been cleaned. Dirt smudged all over it and really grubby when the sun shined on it. Also the shower, toilet and bath floor mats were soaking wet when we arrived. I was not sure if they were wet from the previous guests or straight out of the washing machine. I just left them in the bath and did not stand on them, freaked me out thinking it was wet from the previous guests. There was a strong smell of vomit from the living room, particularly around the sofa area, like a stale smell of vomit that just lingered, vile! The fridge was grubby on the inside. Needs to be cleaned also. The location was great for us travelling to Alton towers, but you have to be ok with noise as it’s a really busy area and sirens from the emergency services go off all night long. Didn’t bother us too much but if you were sensitive to noise this could be an issue. The entrance to the property to the front door was so run down and mouldy, it really needs to be updated. The property is so modern, beautiful and well decorated, such a shame the cleanliness is so poor. Needs a good deep cleaning.

Good location

Nice but not luxury, By the time we arrived the host hadn't sent me the keycode details, so I had to chase him up. There was no information inside the property about the property or location. I had to chase up the host again for the wifi code, The kitchen is lovely. A large 5 ring range cooker, but only one lidless saucepan available to cook in. The host said he would bring some more but didn't while we were there. Dishwasher, but no dishwasher tablets. The only bin in the whole property was in the kitchen and it didn't have a lid. No instructions as to recycling, so we brought our recyclables home with us. Bedding, mattresses and beds were not luxury and could do with being replaced. Only one bedside lamp in the main bedroom, none in the second bedroom. Underneath the sofa and underneath the cushions on the sofa needs vacuuming. Bathroom was very spacious and shower was very nice. Shame, because it is a nice property in a good location for exploring the potteries, but the lack of detail in the property lets it down. Could be very easily improved with some attention to detail.

Very clean and welcoming. Brilliant host

Myself and my partner stayed here and we absolutely loved it. It's so big and very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is absolutely stunning. The place was very tidy and clean, when we arrived they put lights on for us so we could see where everything was. There is cleaning stuff to tidy up after. They had provided detergent incase we needed to use the washer. Little things like that go a long way for us. The place is just beautiful.

Everything was great! Although the road outside does get very busy and very noisy! Thankfully there is a driveway around the back to park the car on

Beautiful apartment stay for work. Just about got the van on the drive but it was ideal for us. Really clean and done to a high spec too. Hopefully I'll stay again

Very comfy and clean with a nice kitchen and big tele in the living room One of the nicer apartments we've rented from booking.com, especially after our last disaster.

There is an ambulance service down the road and and they pass by the apartment every time they set off Could do with more pans, knifes etc

The propriety itself was pretty clean and the host responded super quickly. Also the location was convenient so we can go around the city easily.

Some points that can be improved are; - No hand soap or sanitizer - The bathroom downstairs didn’t flush properly - Dirt on the bed - No tablets for the washing machine - Walls are thin so be careful of the surrounding noises - Lack of towel sets (we were three of us but there were only two sets of towels)

Der Zutritt zur Wohnung war unkompliziert und einfach. Es wurde uns frische Milch und eine Packung Biscuits als Willkommensgeschenk bereitgestellt, die Wohnung ist vorgewärmt und ist schön und modern eingerichtet. Die Lage ist gut, um die Stadt zu erkunden und man hat überall Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben die Wohnung größtenteils nur zur Übernachtung genutzt, daher können wir nicht viel über die Funktionen der Geräte sagen.

Die Lage direkt an einer Hauptstraße kann, gerade in den Räumen, die direkt an dieser Seite sind, sehr laut werden, auch nachts, da wir aber jeden Abend ziemlich fertig gewesen sind, konnte man das leicht ausblenden. Die Betten sind meiner Ansicht nach nicht das Bequemste, aber auch nicht sehr schlimm.
