Was very homely and we felt very comfortable during our stay. Very impressed by the decor and the hot cross buns were a lovely touch to enjoy on our arrival.
There was a local store round the corner and a big Tescos and Shell recharge, for the EV, within 5 mins drive.

Self catering but milk and biscuits were supplied. I felt very at home in the flat which had all home amenities. Fridge is superb with an ice maker (that was a treat!) Bathroom felt luxurious. Decor was lovely and the heating in February was perfect. Smart TVs to log in to own streaming services. A very good stay.
The level of cleanliness could have been higher in the upstairs areas and bannisters and behind beds and sofas. Generally of a high standard otherwise.
My own personal bug bear......all the clocks said a different time!!!! Not a serious issue but it lead to a few amusing moments.

The owner is lovely and replied quickly to messages. I have had to think longer than normal about whether to write this review as I really dont want to cause offence.
The house looks lovely when you enter. You enter through the kitchen and it has plenty of stuff to help make your stay great. The cooker and fridge are lovely and work well. You then walk down the corridor and up a set of stairs to a floor which brings you to the bathroom, bedrooms and sitting room. We booked for 5 of us and I messaged as there weren't enough towels or bedclothes. I then had to look in different cupboards and wardrobes for the towels and quilts. The sofas were too uncomfortable to sleep on and I thank god I had an airbed in my car, which we utilised. The noise from ambulances and cars revving went on all night, so we didn't get the best nights sleep. We live in a smaller town though and not used to these noises, so that was probably an us issue.
My sister had asked me you check the beds to make sure they were clean. I lifted the pillow and it felt strange. Like dryer sheets or fabric conditioner that hadn't been rinsed out. Or like fabrrze had been sprayed on it liberally.I passed that comment on and she used it that night. She then woke up and realised that through the fabric conditioner/fabreze smell, it was obvious it was to disguise the smell of vomit! This was unacceptable and extremely off putting. So I am not sure about how clean the bedding actually was. The TV also kept turning on in the livingroom by itself. We also couldn't unpack, as although there were plenty of cupboards and wardrobes they were all full of stuff.
The house looks nice and was convenient for us but I wouldnt return unfortunately.
