We had a lovely week in Deal. The apartment is bright, spacious and ideally located for exploring Kent, with free parking within a five-minute walk. Oli is a genuinely kind and welcoming host. Communication was excellent throughout, and we really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. We would happily recommend staying here.

Great location, a 90 second walk to Deal Castle and the seafront but the parking near the apartment was extremely challenging. Lots of parking restrictions and double yellow lines. In the end we took a chance, and as we are English Heritage members, parked overnight in the Deal Castle car park. This worked well, as you get 3 free hours if you have the current EH parking sticker in your car. We were told that there are vigilant parking wardens on duty from 8a.m. There was an electric tower fan in the apartment which, with the heatwave,, was great.

First impressions matter and the black front door to the property needs a coat of paint. The large sack of rubbish in the small 'garden' bit by the door was also off putting. The kitchen had plenty of china, glasses and cutlery but was short of ceramic dishes that would go in the oven. Overall, the apartment needs a lick of paint as it is looking quiet tired. The mattress on the bed was bouncy, which we are not used to sleeping on. There's no wardrobe in the bedroom, just a rail under the stairs with the mops/brooms and other clutter. We also found a washing machine in a cupboard in the bedroom. The bath is extremely high and would be a challenge for less mobile/stiff limbed people. The shower was difficult to control the temperature, either very hot or cold and new towels would be beneficial.
