The Cattleyard

I loved the high ceilings of Motley, comfy bed and nice and warm. The light through the windows was gorgeous, especially as the sun went down. I did like the provision of towels and toiletries (although as it wasn't listed I did bring my own). I found a stack of paperback books on my last morning - would've been good to know as there wasn't a tv. Loved the look of the barn with the huge table capable of seating around 30 people. would be great for a family get together. A short drive from 100 acre wood and Queen Elizabeth country parks. A little further to Hayling Island. Seeing foxes in the field at 2am! :-)

Little touches like a tea towel to dry dishes and the roof shade remote didn't seem to work? Lack of TV. Yes it's back to basics in the country, but as a solo traveller it was a little too quiet after the sun went down. If I came again I would bring my tablet with me for sure. It's such a shame that the gorgeous field views are only really for the camping section. The Pigsheds get the gravel walkway and toilet block.

Nothing. The whole place was brilliant!

We loved it. Excellent accommodation in a very scenic location. Host was helpful and went out of their way to help us with a cot for our son. Could definitely see myself and family staying there for an outdoorsy holiday in the future.

Tiny issue was the acoustics- sounds silly but the noise in the cottages echoed and travelled through walls easily. Not really an issue with quiet guests but something to bear in mind. We really liked the stay overall.
