Lagoon Surfhouse

We loved the location overlooking the lagoon, it's close proximity to Ahangama beaches/cafes and the complimentary kayaking offered in the lagoon itself! The bathroom and shower was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Jasmine the owner and her partner were wonderful hosts and made us feel very comfortable and looked after. Thank you for your hospitality!

We spent two weeks at this hotel and were super happy with our stay. The room was perfect for two people and had everything we needed. The location is very beautiful and peaceful – right at the river mouth where it flows into the sea. The hotel has canoes to paddle up the river, which is just super nice. The area feels very safe, and there’s a direct bus connection just a 3-minute walk away. Breakfast was excellent every day – very tasty. The host was very very kind and helpful, always making sure we felt welcome and taken care of. There’s a washing machine, a fridge, and fresh drinking water available at all times. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Just spent my last days of my SL trip at this hotel. The owner made a super nice impression - friendly, helpful, and clearly invested in making sure guests have a good stay. The view from my room was definitely a highlight - waking up to see the lagoon with ocean beyond is just an amazing start into the day. When there is rising tide the lagoon water is crystal clear and you can just walk into the water from the hotel premises to cool off. The location is super convenient. Just far enough away from the main street so you don't have much noise and yet you just walk 3 minutes to the next beach and surf spot (devil's island). Good restaurants and cafés are also within a 5 min walk. The fiber internet and wifi also excelled, 50mb+ speed and stable connection for work calls. All in all this place feels like a highly underpriced place since it's starting new. I'll definitely recommend it to my friend and will stay here for my next south SL trip!
