Shō Hotel Penang

Fantastic stay in a great location! The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to explore the area. Everything felt fresh, modern, and exceptionally clean. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist, while the hotel amenities were more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. If you're driving to Penang, I would highly recommend parking your car at the hotel and using Grab to get around, especially when visiting George Town. Traffic and parking can be challenging during weekends, and using Grab makes the experience much more convenient and stress-free. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a short getaway—comfortable, hassle-free, and great value. I would definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The gym is a little on the small side, as it appears to be a converted hotel room equipped with two treadmills and a multi-function training machine. The kids' room and meditation room are similarly compact. That said, the treadmills are top-of-the-line, high-quality machines that are well maintained. However, the real highlight for fitness enthusiasts is the swimming pool. It's exceptionally large, perfect for swimming laps and getting in a proper workout. If you're looking to keep up with your daily exercise routine, I'd recommend skipping the gym and heading straight to the pool instead. For the best experience, try going around 7:00 AM when it's much quieter and less crowded. The peaceful morning atmosphere makes it ideal for a refreshing swim before starting your day. 🏊‍♂️☀️

We loved our stay so much! The hotel was not overly crowded, which allowed us to fully enjoy the pool without having to deal with large crowds. The room and bathroom were both clean and well maintained. Check-in and check-out were also smooth and hassle-free, making the overall experience very enjoyable.

I was expecting a 12:00 PM checkout, it was actually 11:00 AM. Luckily, I checked the booking details in time, but it still resulted in a rather rushed and hectic packing process before departure

The location is wonderful. It’s very central if you are driving or using e-hailing. Not great if you rely on public transport. The overall hotel is new and the staff is professional
