We got upgraded to a 2 bed 2 bath apartment - suited us very well and we had plenty of space. Washing machine and drying rack was a great bonus.

In the interest of improvement, the kitchen could have a bit more hardware e.g. utensils, a larger pot, additional tea towels, tea & coffee, spices etc.

The rooms were cool, but they had a strong musty, moldy smell, like being inside a cave. The odor hits you as soon as you walk through the door. When we checked in, we were shocked. I wanted to call Booking.com and ask for different accommodation, but I wasn't sure if that is possible. During our entire five-day stay, we kept the doors open to reduce the strong cave-like, moldy smell. This cave-like atmosphere is due to the fact that the entire property is carved into the rock, with exterior walls about one meter thick. I believe many accommodations have this issue, especially those with at least one wall built directly against the rock. Unfortunately, this creates a damp, cave-like smell indoors. Climbing more than 180 steps didn't bother us nearly as much as the cave-like atmosphere did. It was the part of our stay that we found truly overwhelming.
