About this house rental
Wonderful Architect designed home majestically located in a private mountain setting adjacent to National Forest with no other homes in sight. The main living level has a huge great room with a 26 foot high cathedral ceiling, large stone fireplace, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 6-burner Thermador range, granite counters, and an awesome view of Sawtooth Ridge. There is also a south facing deck with waterfall. The master bedroom wing has a large bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom with double sink, soaking tub and shower. There is also a laundry room and home office on this wing. Upstairs off the loft are a bathroom and three bedrooms with queen size beds. Enjoy the huge recreation room downstairs, with TV/VCR, sofa, ping-pong table, poker table, full bath, twin bed and bunk bed alcove. There are beds for 11, but there is also a pull out mattress under the twin bed and a futon under the bunk bed that may be used. The Placer County limit of 12 people does not include those under 16 years of age.
Other notes:
Horse shoes and corn hole are available for outdoor play during warm weather months.
As of July 2022, we have a new internet provider that does not require a satellite, so we now have excellent internet service that also allows streaming movies.
4WD or AWD with vehicles with good tires are required during winter months, even when chains are not required on the main roads, due to potentially icy driveway conditions.
Placer County short term rental regulations no longer allow use of the barbecue due to fire danger, sorry.

We rented the Dill property for a 30th birthday with several parties traveling from out of state to Tahoe for the first time. Everyone loved everything about the trip and the stay. Kevin was incredibly responsive which added a lot of ease as planning a trip for 12 can be a stressful experience. The property was perfect for 4 couples and 4 singles and pet friendly without any evidence of previous pets. Would absolutely rent again & although this was a summer trip, would be a great location for a group trip skiing at Palisades. Parking was more than adequate, as well.

Wonderful property and location -- we loved it! All the room & amenities you need, amazing views, and excellent proximity to Tahoe City, Truckee, and more. Highly recommend and would return, for sure!

We had an incredible stay at this property with three families, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The home was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together without feeling crowded.The common areas were perfect for gathering, while the bedrooms provided privacy and comfort for each family. The kitchen was well-equipped and made preparing meals for a large group easy and enjoyable. Everything was exactly as described, and the property was very well maintained.The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the area, while still providing a comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. The host was responsive, welcoming, and made the entire experience smooth from check-in to check-out.We created wonderful family memories here and would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling with a large group or multiple families. We would gladly stay here again!

Kevin was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions I had about the property. We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful home with more seclusion than many other options in the area.
