The home is located on a 40 foot knoll overlooking Lake Anna, on a large deep water cove perfect for swimming, boating and fishing, or just watching the early morning sunrise over a cup of coffee. There is an abundance of deck space on the house, all with incredible lake views, two acres of lawn with plenty of room to run and play, and a patio with a built-in fire ring and seating nestled into the hillside. A boat house (8+ feet deep at the dock) with large screen room and sun-deck is available for your private use. The home is located in a small community with quiet roads for walking or running. The lake is 18 miles long with 250 miles of shoreline.
This home is the perfect place to bring your recreational boat for all the water sports your friends and family can handle, or bass boat for Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Crappie and Catfish. The home is a short drive to many Virginia vineyards and antiquing venues, as well as Charlottesville (Monticello and the University of Virginia), Richmond (Virginia State Capitol Building, the Robert E. Lee Residence and the Museum of the Confederacy) and Fredericksburg, which all provide excellent day trips to points of historical interest. A 1.5 hr drive takes you to the George Washington Birthplace National Monument on the Northern Neck. Williamsburg, VA and the Colonial National Historic Park (Jamestown and Yorktown) are a 2 hr drive. A short 45 minute drive takes you to Kings Dominion Amusement Park and in 2 hours you can be at Busch Gardens.
The closest airports are Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Reagan National (DCA), both approximately 90 minutes, as well as Richmond and Charlottesville, which are both about 60 minutes away.
