A lovely cottage, all on one level. With the added bonus of 3 toilets! 2 en suites and an extra. Ilmington is a delightful village with a thriving community shop and cafe. Within easy reach of many Cotswold towns and villages, many gardens, National Trust and independent, and Stratford on Avon. We also went to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Well worth the extended journey, a beautiful and moving experience. Then, after a day out , we could return to the comfort of the cottage. It was so quiet, peaceful and dark, we all slept very well. The only drawback was reversing out of the property, as long as there was someone to see you back, even that was ok.

Loved our week in the Cider Press Cottage. Located in a small dead end road it was quiet and peaceful. The village and the cottage had an excellent display of roses and flowers. The cottage had everything we needed, although you do need to bring any food, milk etc straight away as there is no welcome package like we have had in other places. There are 2 pubs and a village shop (staff where very helpful) Nearest supermarkets are in Stratford upon Avon which is only about 15 mins away. Be sure to visit Chipping Campden which is lovely - Michael's Mediterranean Restaurant is excellent.

Our holiday accommodation was excellent. Spacious and very clean. Garden pretty but access under gateway would be tricky with large vehicle. Key safe wouldn't open on arriving fortunately the owner lived next door. It was rather concerning. Villlage delightful as was Red Lion pub where we ate. Community shop and cafe was delightful too.

Our second stay at the Cider Press. The cottage is warm, a lovely space and well equipped. We love the village too. My disappointment was the cleanliness and tiredness of the decor and soft furnishings. I actually took some photos if required. Cobwebs in most of the rooms, water marked picture in twin bathroom, mattress covers that have shrunk so they don't fit the single beds, dusty air vents in bathrooms. The wardrobe door wouldn't shut in the twin room. I would expect a full size toilet roll in each bathroom? The floors in the hall/kitchen could do with a good clean. I love this place but it does need some TLC.
