About this house rental

Authentic little fisherman's house 5 minutes from the port and the sandy beach. In town but quiet (in a small street with no traffic). Restored in the spirit of the country with fireplace.
On 2 levels (2x15 m2). Comfortable: WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi system..
The shops are less than 5 minutes walk. Direct sale of fish on the port.
Ideal for holidays for two: possibility of sleeping 3 with an extra bed for a child.
Free parking 25 meters away.
Note: the staircase (pictured) leading to the bedroom may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

We had a nice time in this charming Apartment. The Apartment was Clean and has everything you need. Saints Vaas La Hougue ist a beautiful place to stay and we look forward to visite again.

We loved St Vaast La Houge and the cottage is situated ideally in the centre and only a short walk to the harbour and shops. The town itself is interesting with good walking in the local area. The cottage is small but has everything we needed. The toilet is small and as it is adjacent to the living room it lacks privacy. However overall we had a very happy stay.

Saying all the above it had a quirky charm and I liked the location near harbour with a great seafront walk just past the chapel .i would stay again but my wife wouldn’t !

We have spent a week in this little house and we have felt like home from the first moment. Ideal for two, the space is divided in two floors, you got everything you need. The location is perfect, five minutes walk from the harbor and the village is very beautiful and quiet, the people is also warmy and nice. We recommend taking the ferry to Tatihou Island, such a special place, and taste the restaurants, specially the oisters! The location is perfect to explore the beauties of Contentin and the DDay landing beaches because it´s not so crowdy as other locations. The owner was attentive and helpful from the first moment and called us during our stay to check everything was ok. The perfect place for disconnect and feeling quiet, we are missing it already!

So glad we chose this pretty little house in an excellent location in St Vaast. A short walk to the boulangerie and the picturesque harbour full of boats and wonderful to stroll to a cafe or restaurant or do the complete circuit when the pedestrian bridge was down. The weather was good and we enjoyed the bussle of the town compared to Barfleur which seemed quiet out of season.Ile Tatihou was very interesting as were the berceuses d'huitres - oyster beds which are visible at low tide. The little house is charming with a good sized living room kitchen with all that is necessary for a comfortable stay. The stairs are windy and lead up to a good sized bedroom and shower room both of which were clean and pleasant. The lavatory which is downstairs off the living area was quite small but was clean and perfectly ok for the week. We missed having a garden to have a BBQ in but we didn't mind in October. The owners were very kind and kept in touch to make sure everything was in order. A great cottage and very good value.

Great place to stay! We had a lovely week- beautiful weather all week, and a lovely cottage in a very peaceful, calm setting. The cottage is well equipped, clean and well-maintained and is located approx five mins walk from small sandy beach in lovely coastal town of St Vaast. The owners were there to meet us and couldn't have been more welcoming. Parking was easy to find, and free all week. St Vaast has a good range of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants, a fantastic local market on a Saturday morning, and is well located for daytrips in Normandy and into Brittany. The cottage is great for a couple; the only drawbacks are the staircase (which is very steep, and not suitable if you have any mobility problems), and the toilet (located on the ground floor, and not in the first floor shower room), is very cramped. We had a really great week and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, restful week getting away from it all!
