About this cabin rental
Awesome view! One of the best mountain and lake views in Hiawassee Georgia. The Perch (362677) is a secluded log home at a dead end street, paved all the way. Relax on a wrap around porch in one of the several rocking chairs with ONE OF THE BEST VIEWS of Lake Chatuge, mountains of Brasstown Bald (tallest point in Ga.) and sunset views, the pictures don't do the view justice! Enjoy a meal on picnic table on the porch or have a cozy fire in the outdoor fire-pit. All the comforts of home with a fully furnished log home that has linens, flat screen cable TV and wireless internet. The 3 bedroom home has one bedroom with a king-size bed with a twin day bed in one bedroom, second bedroom has a queen bed the 3rd room has a queen. Downstairs in the living area there is a twin day bed, TV with sofas. A king-size bedroom with a twin bed and an additional full bathroom is also downstairs. Enjoy a wood fireplace on the main level with a separate living area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. This home, just 2 miles to town, has a washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave and ceiling fans. CABLE TV with an expanded SPORTS CHANNELS. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet in the beautiful North Georgia mountains.

Very nice house to stay in for our weekend getaway for my 50th birthday. We were running late and I let the host know, she was very responsive and sent me the code to get in. We had a little trouble finding the place in the dark as we thought we were on the wrong road (hard to see in the dark on a mountain lol), texted her and she helped us through getting to the cabin. The parking is a little tight for a 1500 chevy truck, but we were able to get turned around in the driveway and have our truck point out to the road. The road dead ends at the cabin, there is one other cabin on this "road". Just be mindful that if you have a bigger vehicle, it might be hard to park there for you. The view is awesome from the back side of the cabin, we sat out there each morning and evening just looking at the mountains and the lake, very nice! Plenty of room for us and our dog, no complaints about the house at all.

Nice spacious but cozy cabin with beautiful views. The location was quiet and felt remote but wasn’t- easy access to restaurants and activities. Recommend.

The cabin and the view are really great. The Porch is a perfect spot to sit and admire the mountains, and the interior living spaces are generally cozy. The issue I had is how the managers (and there were seemingly multiple) made you feel as a guest. If you want a guest to feel welcome, then don't heap expectations on them, firehose them with long messages, and drop a bunch of fees. As many reviews as they have you'd think they would have learned by now how to make the whole thing seamless. Tell us what time the check-in is and then tell us the code. Easy right? Nope, they had a bunch of rules to get the entry code, including contacting them within a very narrow window or else... what? Oh and don't show up before 4:00 or else you'll be hit with a "25-50" fee. So you had to read their lengthy message before all of this to know you had to text them between 3:30 and 5:30. So we did text them at 5:35, because that is when we arrived and saw all of these messages. We had to wait for over 30min in the cold before someone got back to us. They also slapped a pet fee of 75 after the fact and is not noted on their listing. Regarding the beds, they have paper thin quilts, so definitely bring your own comforter. They also don't provide paper towels, because as she said "so we can keep our rates down". They just need to do a better job at making a guest feel welcome and less like a burden or an annoyance, and in the least, provide warm beds!!
