2 Bedrooms and loft: King, King, Queen, Full Sleeper sofa and 2 Baths – 2 wrap around decks – Mountain Views.
With views for miles, those looking for a view, peace and quiet will not be disappointed. The cabin sits just 3 miles from downtown Clayton, on Screamer Mountain facing South Carolina. With upper and lower wrap around decks, there is plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. The lower deck is covered, with ceiling fans for enjoying the views. There is a large, flat parking area with easy access to the cabin.
Inside, there are two bedrooms and a loft area for sleeping or taking an afternoon nap. There are two full bathrooms and an open kitchen with ample counter space for those who want to cook their own meals. An open family room allows for relaxing in front of the tv or playing games at the dining room table. Downstairs the game room supplies fun for all with a full-sized Arcade Console and flat screen tv. There is a full-sized sofa sleeper in the game room as well.
The master bedroom is downstairs off the game room and allows direct access to the lower covered wrap around deck. The master bathroom includes a jetted tub for relaxing after a day of hiking some of the nearby waterfalls. The laundry room is downstairs and includes a washing machine, dryer and wash basin.
Cell phones will either be spotty or not work at this location, however, Internet is provided so you can use the VoIP service offered on most phones (Voice Over Internet Protocol).
We supply 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom 2 two rolls of paper towels in kitchen, along with hotel size soaps, laundry detergent and shampoo. Hopefully this will be enough basics to give you time to go shopping once you have settled in.

The view and cabin held up to the listing! My family and I enjoyed our stay. The only issue I had was entering the cabin on the first night. It was hard to see it was a keypad entry in the dark, but once I pressed the pad the numbers lit up.

Beautiful home with beautiful views! The house had everything we needed and was peaceful and quiet. The host responded quickly when I had questions. Definitely recommend!!

I can't say much about the property because our visit ended as soon as it began. As soon as we got to the house, my husband walked the dog down the road to get her to go potty before entering (there is really no where for pets to go around entrance). Upon walking back up, the dog broke free from her collar like something spooked her. She ended up running towards the house and over the retaining wall (the wall is barely elevated). After sliding down the mountain to get the dog and rushing her to a vet in town, we found that she had broken several toes and her wrist was messed up. The Clayton vet stated she would most likely need pins and plates, but there was no specialist in the area. She would have to call around to find someone the next day because they were past closing at this point. Due to the upcoming inclement weather and the fact that the nearest specialist was several hours away, we made the decision to drive the 9 hours back home for our vet to lead the dog's recovery. Please be careful if you have children or pets, because I would hate for someone else to have the same situation happen to them. This whole experience ruined our Christmas holiday. I can't say much about the house since we never stayed even one night, but the views did look nice when we drove up. This would have been our 8th year staying in the mountains, and was the first time we ever felt that a home was not suitable for pets or small children. It would be good for couples and teenage children though. As for our dog, the break is too close to the wrist for surgery. She will be in a splint for 8 weeks and at the 6 week point they will be assessing if her wrist will need surgery based on how it is healing and the mobility. The owner did reach out once to see if our dog needed surgery, but that was it. The reason for the mark down in cleanliness, was that we saw dead bugs along the sliders and windows inside the living room. They should have been cleaned up if it was swept or vacuumed before arriving. That is the only thing we saw, but we were barely there due to the accident.
