About this villa rental
Completed in 2010, this luxury villa combines a modern, spacious ambience with a breathtaking view stretching from the lighthouse at Punta de la Mona over Almuñécar to Cabo Sacratif near Motril. The sea and the Marina del Este yacht harbour lie almost at your feet.
Casa Geniol enjoys absolute tranquillity, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation at any time of year, and an inspiring base during the vibrant summer months on the Costa Tropical.
The house has three air-conditioned bedrooms for 2 people each, each with its own terrace, sea view, and private bathroom. The spacious master bedroom on the top floor offers the most spectacular view and complete independence from the rest of the villa. The air-conditioned library invites you to read and relax, and also offers an extra sleeping space for one person.
On the middle floor is the fully equipped, state-of-the-art kitchen with a dining table for 8 and a huge panoramic window towards the horizon. Two partly covered terraces extend this level for outdoor dining. The living room with open fireplace is one of Casa Geniol's architectural highlights. From the terrace you can jump straight into the 4 x 8 metre pool.
The light-filled lower level houses the wellness area with a steam bath, two body-jet showers, a toilet, and a relaxation room with bathtub and exercise bike. This level also has a washing machine and a solid safe for valuables.
The Mediterranean garden with palms, citrus trees, carob and olive trees, jasmine, lavender, and rosemary protects your privacy. The large pool terrace is perfect for sunbathing or gazing out over the sea.

Pros: We were lucky because we discovered this shelter by accident. And we were not disappointed. The Casa Genial is a wonderful house and you can see that it was very well thought out. The location is very quiet. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Everything was very clean and the rooms are beautifully designed. Also the area invites you to visit many restaurants or just go for a walk. We also enjoyed our day trip to Granada very much. In summary we can recommend this accommodation very much.

Pros: Getting up to that view every day!
Cons: Nothing I didn’t enjoy during the stay! The location is on a hillside. You can walk to a great beach but walking back can be tough. Don’t forget this is to be expected if your house is perched on a hillside!! We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Small point - another fridge wouldn’t go amiss as when there’s 7 people in hot weather you need lots of cold drinks!!!

Pros: A beautifully designed, well maintained villa (just as you hope from the photos) which made it so easy to quickly settle into our relaxing Christmas holiday. Although we had two weeks of beautiful sunny weather, the unheated pool was a little too chilly for us to use more than once. However the steam room and open fireplace were great additions to our winter evenings. Loved the setting and location (stunning sunrises and ocean views can be seen from most rooms) and with a car (you do need one), it is easy to get to Granada, Malaga and the other coastal towns/ beaches nearby. Although off season - I think we were pretty much the only people staying in our road- the town and beach restaurants were open, the roads were clear, parking was easy and the atmosphere was relaxed rather than dead.
Would definitely like to explore the area further, and would happily stay at Casa Geniol again.

Pros: We just stayed one week at this fabulous house overlooking the Mediterranean. The house is exactly as pictured and described on the website and has everything one could want in the way of amenities. The views from the house and the many decks of the house are truly spectacular. In addition, Christian and the local property manager, Cees, were very responsive to our questions and also were available during our stay to insure that all went well with our stay. This was truly an exceptional experience.
