As the property has unfenced access to the water and an unfenced pond in the back garden, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
There are life-jackets available to use with the five kayaks but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.

We've been on holiday for 2 months, staying in various properties in Northland. This, by far, is the most amazing property we have stayed at. Hearing the Kiwis was unreal, and hubby loved the fishing loved

This is the ideal location for a family getaway no matter the weather. Hosts Scott and Diane were incredibly friendly. They suggested a nearby bush walk with an amazing view which was walkable from the property grounds. The house was well outfitted, clean and welcoming. On our good weather day we got out on the ocean. (They provide kayaks and safety vests). The next day we stayed indoors and played pool, table tennis and enjoyed movies. We even heard kiwi birds nearby at night. Town is just a 20-minute drive away - known for weekend markets and you must visit the local chocolate shop Makana. Such a wonderful gem with amazing hosts - thank you for your hospitality and we will be back.

Stunning property hidden away and surrounded by nature. We love fishing - and made the most of this special location. The house is gorgeous and has everything you’ll need. Property owner very friendly and helpful with fishing tips. Our only hiccup was comms with bookabach when trying to extend the stay. Got there in the end.
