It’s known for the medieval Lincoln Cathedral and other historic days out.
The tranquillity of the park is undeniably enhanced by the beautiful lake stocked with both common and mirror carp for you to fish – there is no better way to while away a lazy summer day.
There are many idyllic, local walks which of course means that your dogs are very welcome. For the more energetic, there are also numerous cycle paths within easy reach; with Cycle Route 64 taking you directly into Lincoln itself.
There is the added bonus of minimal light pollution. Star gazers regularly take advantage of the wide-open Lincolnshire skies.. Perfect for relaxing and watching the ducks. Husband enjoyed the fishing. Pub about a mile away and various places of interest not too far to drive to.

In rural settings the place was absolutely lovely. Definitely need your own car but it was just idyllic. Lodge where we stayed was light an airy despite being nearly 40 degrees outside. Pond was full of carp and the ducks and other water birds were a delight. Only gripe was went to use the washing machine and it was all black on seal and looked filthy inside…so never used and the bedding smelt musty.Would definitely recommend whether just to chill out for few days or explore all around.
