About this house rental
Making Memories is just 3 minutes to the sugar white sands and emerald waters of the 30A beaches. Located in the popular Gulf Mist subdivision, with this home you'll also have access to the beautiful community pool as well!
The 1st floor of this home is the main living area with a spacious kitchen overlooking the beautiful dining area. Everything is light, bright, and beachy here. Out the back door is a gas grill and fire pit area with more seating for all of your outdoor gathering needs.
All 3 bedrooms are upstairs to sleep 8 comfortably. The 2 guest bedrooms share a large hallway bathroom with dual sinks and tub/shower combination. All bedrooms have TVs as well as access to the balcony. Right off the master suite is a wonderful additional outdoor entertaining space with TV and mini fridge.
At Making Memories, you'll enjoy a relaxing vacation with plenty of comfortable furnishings and wonderful outdoor living spaces.

Beach Access:
Heading out the subdivision, cross 30A and turn right onto the walking path. Take this down a few feet past The Palms to your beach access, Pelayo.

Gulf Mist:
White picket fences adorn the well-kept lawns as you take a leisurely walk to this Seagrove Beach neighborhood pool. You will feel right at home in this cozy community of Gulf Mist beach cottages located directly across Scenic 30A from the beautiful beaches of South Walton. Make your way just down 30A to the beach access and you'll have your toes in the sand within minutes.

Named for the thick grove of oak trees lining its coastline, Seagrove Beach is located in the heart of 30A. The coastal villages of Seaside, Grayton, and WaterColor lie within a mile or two to the West, while Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and WaterSound lie a few miles East. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom.

The biggest issue was the amount of light coming into the guest bedrooms early in the morning. The transom windows and built-in blinds on the French doors did very little to block sunlight, so the rooms were bright by about 5:45 each day. With young kids waking up with the sun, the whole house was awake very early. The primary bedroom had heavy curtains, and adding something similar to the guest rooms would make a huge difference.The bunk bed was also much higher than expected. Our five yr old, who normally sleeps in a standard bunk bed at home, was uncomfortable climbing up to the top bunk because of the height — it’s seriously very high. We ended up having to rearrange sleeping arrangements for our kids, which wasn’t ideal.The other main issue was the mattress in the second guest bedroom. It was a very firm memory foam mattress that somehow also sank in at pressure points, and I personally found it quite uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the couch most nights instead.That said, there were several things we really appreciated about the home. The location was great, and the public beach access was only a four-minute walk from the front door to the sand. There was also a great assortment of beach gear available. Overall, we would recommend this home. However, if you’re traveling with kids who will need to use the bunk bed, prefer darker rooms for sleeping in, or enjoy a softer mattress, it may be worth confirming whether those items have been addressed before booking.

We enjoyed the location - we had two issues that we had two issues that cause us pause in returning - one we had to go and buy our own dust pan and mop to clean the floors ... the house was not clean - we have three young kids and this caused us some level of frustration to deal with. Additionally, we were disappointed with the grill - the grill never got hot enough to use.
