Overall we found our stay to be satisfactory. We do feel that some of the pictures don’t fully show the property i.e. no pictures of the walk to front door are included, likely because the entrance isn’t appealing/welcoming, and the views of the lake don’t fully show the properties across from the house. Also, there is minimal privacy as the neighboring houses on both sides are close enough that someone standing on their back porch can see into the home, yet ironically neither of the two large windows on either side of the glass door have the needed two curtains to completely cover the window. There is a need for privacy, yet only one curtain per window isn’t sufficient to cover the glass and therefore block others’ view inside. Unfortunately the most unexpected challenge came from finding 30 flies on the windows/backdoor immediately upon arrival. Resolving that became our first priority, and we were able to take care of all of them with a fly swatter, but did find that there continued to be a few each day we were there. We do appreciate how responsive the host was via messaging when we shared the issue. Our kids enjoyed paddle boarding from the back deck, everyone having their own space was nice, and the proximity to the town & marina was great!

Pros:
* Nice finishes, newer build/remodel, spacious
Cons:
*extremely hard to get boat in and out of the shallow inlet
*no view of the actual lake, just a few feet of water and neighbors packed in on all sides and across the stream of water
*not deep enough to park the boat in the water along the boardwalk, and had to tie up at the neighboring house
*the house alarm went off in the middle of the night and we could not get in contact with the owner for 30 minutes. We ended up calling Vivint and they told us what to do after 15 minutes of back and forth and finally contacting the owner. So glad the police did not show up (but also a bit disturbing).
*the gas grill and burners were in terrible condition and would not light, even manually; the owner had no alternative solution to offer
*Had two HUGE parties going on at the townhouses on either side of us, with loud music, drinking, and clouds of mary jane (not the fault of our owner)
*Not the best neighborhood; the driveway was hard to get in and out of as the road was narrow and there was a large dumpster for the apartment complex directly across our driveway.
