Welcome! My name is Tim, and it’s my pleasure to open my family home to you.
This isn't a cold, commercial rental property — it is a genuine home and family sanctuary that I personally live in and love whenever guests aren't staying. Because it’s a real home, it has a warm, lived-in soul, comfortable spaces, and everything you need for a relaxing, authentic getaway with family, friends, and your dog.
A Truly Private 3/4-Acre Oasis
Unlike standard quarter-acre suburban blocks lined with close neighbors, our home sits on a sprawling ¾-acre property backing directly onto the 65-acre Citation Reserve. You’ll feel the quiet calm as soon as you walk in and look out across the lush green reserve from the kitchen.
- Native Birdlife: The wrap-around balcony, shaded by James Stirling and Silver Birch trees, is an incredible spot to hear native birds over morning coffee or watch kookaburras up close in the afternoon.
- Scenic Boardwalk to Beach: A peaceful 20-minute stroll along the Balcombe Creek estuary boardwalk takes you straight into Mt Martha village and down to the beach.
It’s the perfect way to start the day, enjoy some quiet solitude, or walk the dog away from busy roads.
Comfortable Family Accommodation
Designed for group catch-ups and multi-generational stays, the house comfortably sleeps adults and kids alike:
- Spacious Master Bedroom: Generous private retreat.
- 3 Queen Beds: All with new or near-new mattresses for a restful sleep.
- Kids' Setup: Bunk room (sleeping 2) plus an extra single mattress for friends.
- Outdoor Living: The expansive wrap-around deck has hosted many unforgettable summer evening dinners surrounded by trees and quiet reserve views.

- Pets Welcome: We love dogs, and with prior permission, your furry family member is very welcome to join you!
- 12+ Years of Happy Guests: Over more than a decade of hosting, the feedback we hear most often is how deeply peaceful, grounding, and restoring a stay here feels.

We loved this property - very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, really good heating which was important given the cold rainy conditions. A beautiful and peaceful setting with direct access to walkways, secluded yet a short drive to the local shops. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended.

Really amazing property, we had a wonderful stay with our family. I think our dog Banjo enjoyed the trip the most, big back yard to play in and wonderful walking trails along the creek and beaches. Lovely house with lots of room. Kitchen / laundry facilities all really good. Great communication from the hosts. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time. The home was excellent. Pet friendly. I'd highly recommend this property. Loved the morning walk along the boardwalk to the beach. The kookaburras were an added extra.

The location is amazing adjacent to the Balcombe santuary and if you have dogs, this is a great place to be as there are many walks for them. The house however needs updating with the aircon not being available in the master bedroom upstairs making it diffcult to sleep on warm nights despite having fans.The host was well responsive to messages and this was reassuring that our needs would be catered to even before we arrived.
