About this villa rental

The two level villa in Elounda-Crete is built in a contemporary architectural style, with hint of the traditional in its stone brick walls. It is surrounded by a lush yard, a spacious terrace and a wonderful 28sq m swimming pool with a spellbinding view of the sea. The interior decor is very sophisticated and the walls are painted in soothing colours that harmoniously blend with the relaxing environment.

Villa Notos was the ideal villa, with a beautiful view and nice, modern amenities. The villa was immaculate! Despina was so welcoming, with a delicious dinner waiting for us (using her garden vegetables no less), and recommendations for restaurants which were great. The villa itself is designed so well that there were areas shielded from the wind, many areas to relax, many beautiful views, nice privacy, etc. The stonework on the villa was a nice use of traditional materials yet used in a modern way. It was the best stonework I saw in the area. I found myself admiring many of the details on the villa, such as the large windows, lighting, inconspicious shutters, little home touches, etc. (and being an architect I am particular). Unfortunately we didn't run into Despina or George before leaving, but we let her know that the stay at the villa was a real pleasure!

A lovely villa. A fantastic host, Despina, for who nothing was too much trouble. The cakes were amazing! Elounda is lovely. Great choice and quality of food. Easy to travel elsewhere in Crete. Just great.

This property was beautiful! The view was amazing, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the area was wonderful to explore. Depi was such a wonderful host and even made us a meal upon arrival! She was able to make wonderful recommendations about our stay (restaurants, boat tours). It was a wonderful few days for our family of five.

We stayed for the first two weeks of April 2015. Everything about this villa was utterly perfect. The stunning prime position with a fantastic view over the sea & the big Spinalonga island. The pristinely clean & immaculately maintained interior and exterior. Lots of thought put into the lovely interior decor & layout of the rooms. Great wi-fi. Super kitchen. We had everything we could possibly need for a brilliant holiday. From booking the villa to our last day, the owners have been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Despina, George's wife, cooked us a marvellous meal for our arrival which was delicious, and gave us great tips for exploring the area and where was best to eat. She also brought very tasty authentic Crete treats occasionally. The cleaner came every two/three days and could not be faulted. Thank you ever so much for making us feel at home & for your wonderful hospitality. As it wasn't high season, we didn't have hot days by the pool, but we ventured out and explored as much of the island as we could during our two weeks. There is lots to do including a trip to Spinalonga island, Heraklion Archeological Museum, Knossos, Lassithi Plateau. A car is highly recommended! There are also some great places to eat. Because we were there just before the season got started, there wasn't many places open. By the time we left, more and more restaurants had opened. Don't think you can go wrong, as every meal we had out was very nice! We especially liked 'The Carob Tree' in Plaka (5k North of Elounda), and 'Amalthia' in Agios Nikalos. Wherever we ate, we were treated to lovely starters, fruit or small puddings and raki on the house. We found every local we talked with very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we highly recommend this villa: perfect location, super owners, beautiful view. You will have a fantastic holiday here! It's one of those special places you will want to return to.
