Cwalafila is all about location. Set right in the centre of Rhosneigr, this spacious holiday home is just steps from the beach, restaurants, and shops, making it an unbeatable base for a coastal escape. With a new kitchen refit, sea views, and a private terrace, it’s a fantastic choice for families and friends looking for both convenience and comfort.
As you enter, the porch provides the perfect place to kick off sandy shoes before stepping inside. The ground floor boasts four comfortable bedrooms: two king, one doubles, and bunk room, making it a great setup for groups of all sizes. There’s also a family bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, and sink, plus a separate shower room with a large walk-in shower.
Upstairs, the first floor is flooded with natural light from windows on three sides. The spacious living room is the perfect place to relax and enjoy breathtaking sea views, or step out onto the small balcony with your morning coffee. The highlight of the home is the refurbished open-plan kitchen-diner, fully equipped for preparing meals around the stylish kitchen island. The dining space extends onto a sunny terrace, where you can soak up the coastal air while dining alfresco. There’s also an additional modern shower room conveniently located between the lounge and kitchen.
The property features an enclosed courtyard with an awning and a private garden area, providing a safe space for children to play or for relaxed BBQ evenings. The Neighborhood:
Rhosneigr (said: ROSS-nigh-ger) is one of the most dog-friendly villages on Anglesey. It's a foodie haven, a watersports mecca, and somehow packs bars, restaurants, independent shops and golden beaches into one small stretch of coastline curving round the village. Whether you're a couple, a family three generations deep, or bringing a dog who's never seen so much sand, it works.
It's on the pricier side, but one visit shows why. Two stunning beaches wrap the village, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, the surf's some of the best on the Island, and the food punches well above its weight. Mornings belong to the water, with Funsport or Gecko Surf on the seafront covering surfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding for all ages. Evenings bring cocktails, fresh food at the Blue Olive, or the Sandy Mount House or fish and chips from Scarletts on the high street, eaten on the beach or back at the house.
Getting Around:
Rhosneigr is best explored by car, with free parking available at the property and throughout the village. The nearest train station, just 5 minutes away at Ty Croes, connects you to Holyhead and Bangor

Overall - excellent
Just a few minor issues - no vegetable peeler, could do with a large salad bowl. We would also suggest a bit of a reorganisation of the kitchen cupboards, although we found most of the things we needed.
Small bedroom with bunkbeds - lacked ventilation and the beds were not very comfortable.
Could we also suggest new pillows throughout.
We loved the welcome pack, especially the chilli jam!
We loved the location and really enjoyed eating outside.
Lovely and spacious for our family of five adults.

We stayed at Cwalafila over Easter and it was both spacious and comfortable, plenty of space for everyone.
Location close to beach, cafes and still quite private.
Lovely property and great service from letting agent.

Cwalafila is a spacious home which is within a really short walk to the shops, restaurants and the beach.
On the whole, the accommodation was clean and tidy, although the kitchen sink was blocked on arrival and there had been a leak under the sink in which food waste had been deposited all in the cupboard. Despite reporting this, and a maintenance engineer coming out to unblock the sink, no-one came to clean the mess so it was pretty gross for our whole stay. Other than that, it was clean.
Some areas of the house have been updated and are really modern, such as the downstairs wet room. The living room has lovely views of the sea.
One thing to bear in mind, if you are staying on the weekend, is that it is literally across the road from a bar, Friday night was very noisy until the early hours. Although this didn’t bother us too much, it might be a problem for those travelling with younger children.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Cwalafila-the location is especially convenient.

Spending a week in Rhosneigr over New Year was just the treat we needed.
The house was in a perfect location. Close to all local shops and bars.
Entry was easy using the key safe., and we found the house to be lovely and warm ( with Christmas decorations a bonus)
We were blessed with great , dry weather which meant lovely walks on the beach.
The New Years Day swim was an unexpected fun surprise.
Great to participate
All in all, a brilliant week.
