Let's be straightforward about Ty Heulwen (pronounced 'Tea Hail-when'), you won't find many places where eight people, plus two dogs, can stay a couple of minutes' walk from the beach, shops, restaurants and bars, for this kind of money. Rhosneigr is one of the most picturesque, sought-after villages on Anglesey, and increasingly one of the priciest.
Ty Heulwen offers space, comfort, and an unbeatable base for a family holiday, and guests who come here knowing that consistently tell us they'd book it again in a heartbeat. What you won't find is a show home. The furnishings are well-used, it's not the property to book if you want polish, but everything works exactly as it should.
The house is bigger than it looks from the outside, with plenty of room to spread out. Original floorboards, a retro fridge and well-worn, comfortable furnishings give it character throughout, and it's the kind of place where you can kick off your shoes and not worry about anything.
Inside, the living room has plenty of sofa space and a Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you're likely to need on holiday, and leads straight out to a sunny dining terrace, while the bright conservatory has a large table for family meals or rainy-day games. The utility room is genuinely useful, with plenty of room for hanging coats and getting sorted after a day on the beach, plus a walk-in shower and toilet. Downstairs also includes two good-sized bedrooms, one king, one double, plus a family bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs, you'll find a double with sea views in the distance, a twin room, and an extra toilet.
Outside, the enclosed garden catches the sun for most of the day and is a great spot to relax with the family and dogs, with a lawn, picnic bench and summer house. If you're travelling with a small dog, it's worth keeping an eye on the garden gate.
The garage is perfect for storing wetsuits, bikes and all your holiday gear, plus there's a ping pong table and fridge-freezer for chilled drinks. Parking for up to two cars, on a private drive just outside your front door.

A lovely house very close to two beaches. House was lovely and just what we needed. Large kitchen for making food after a stroll on the beach.
Unfortunately, next doors electric got cut off which meant they had a loud generator installed followed by works with a mini digger, which caused a bit of noise disturbance for a few days and nights. Other than that it was a lovely stay.

Excellent property, good value for money and great central location for the village and beach. Certain parts of the house could do with a refresh as they seemed quite dated. It would be good to see window restrcires on the uostairs childrens bedroom as there is no way to lock the window.

We had a good family get together at Ty Heulwen - 7 adults. Plenty of space, good garden and very convenient. It’s a bit tired and that’s reflected in the price but some of the crockery and particularly the glasses need replacing and the seat covers were grubby. The garden furniture has seen better days. These are things that could be inexpensively addressed but would improve the experience in what is basically a good base for a fun holiday.
