Beautifully located, the house is probably one of the most charming properties of this particular region.
Built on XVIII century, it is a perfect place to enjoy your holidays with family and friends. It is rented for exclusive use only.
The house was originally built in the late 1700s as a farm house divided in two areas: family dwelling and farming facilities (stable and barn.) Today, both spaces have been attached to the main building by means of a large, sunken living room where a grand piano becomes the main attraction. It was in this living room and with this same piano, that composer of chamber music and former owner Miguel Ángel Samperio created a good number of his works. It is an open, cozy space where all visitors feel at home.
The house has three floors, each one with a square footage a little over 2,300 sf. It was remodeled in 2008. At present, the house includes seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, four large common areas, a porch, a garage, barbecue, ping-pong table and a 7-acre garden.

A really fantastic house and host. Everything you need for lots of fun, a fab kitchen, terrace, garden, bbq and great rooms. We were 4 families with kids between 6 months and 9 years and came in August and it was perfect. Emma was a fantastic host, especially great on communicating with us all the way through and i'd absolutely recommend anyone to stay!

This house was magical. The photos don't do it justice. Just a 25 minute drive south from Santander, situated in a small hillside village of Llanos, Bumbaro House was amazing. Myself and 11 old friends stayed here for a week. You can do nothing, or be busy each day. Easy access to Burgos for rock climbing, San Sebastian or Bilbao, and easy to get downtown to Santander for fine dining at night. We used the kitchen a lot, and 4 couple and 4 single people slept comfortably. The billards and table tennis were a bonus. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The Cantabria region of Spain, particularly in June/July is much more temperate than southern Spain. Day trip options are in abundance. The beaches in Santander were amazing. Miss Bumbaro already!! Don't forget the morning baguette delivery from the local bread maker.

"We stayed in the Bumbaro as a group of 9 during the middle of August. The house was fantastic and could easily have accommodated a much larger party. We particularly enjoyed the very well equipped and beautiful kitchen and dining room, BBQ and the large grounds, which were great for the kids to explore and play. All age groups would enjoy the property. A car is essential.
The surroundings are picture perfect and very quiet. Nearby you can find spring water, see cows milked and enjoy the tiny local bar. Although very tranquil, the village is located only 2 km from the main road, giving easy access to Santander and the beaches (about 20 mins).
The owner Emma was extremely helpful and welcoming on our arrival.
All in all a great place to stay, especially for larger groups."
