About this apartment rental
You are welcome to arrive any day of the week, including Sunday. We will meet you at a convenient, agreed-upon time between 4 PM and 8 PM to give you the keys as well as show you the apartment, and introduce you to the neighborhood and to the city of Menton.
Our apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (4th floor US way) of a residence dating from the early 1900s. One view is of the sea & a lovely park, and the other is of the French Alps. This makes the apartment quite bright, with a gentle evening breeze, especially during the hot summer months so air-conditioning is not necessary. The windows are double glazed to protect from outside noise.
From the living room, you will enjoy both the turquoise sea and the summits of the Alps. As day turns into night, you are treated to spectacular views of the sun and the sea.
Our balcony offers the possibility of enjoying meals outdoors on a table with chairs perfect for relaxing at breakfast or in the evening. The awning will protect from midday sun.
The bedroom offers a brand-new queen-size bed for comfort. You also will enjoy beautiful vistas from the bed, including the private tiny park of the residence and its exotic plants, as well as the town Elisee Reclus Park.There is also a small desk in the bedroom.
The kitchen, facing north, is well equipped with a dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, microwave, regular oven, and induction plate. However, we warn you that you will love the nearby restaurants, bakeries, and convenience stores as they are just a few steps away, so you may not do a lot of cooking.
The bathroom has been entirely remodeled, with a brand-new shower, sink, furniture, and mirror. The WC is separate from the rest of the bathroom, European style. You need to go through the bedroom to reach the bathroom and the WC. There is a laundry machine in the apt and also a laundromat conveniently located half a block away for other laundry service.
Sheets, tea towels, shower towels and beach towels are included in the rental. Professional laundry fees are asked to be paid cash upon arrival. 2026 PRICE: €130.
It is a two minute walk to the Promenade du Soleil, visible from our balcony accross the park, one of the many beaches of Menton. It is a ten minute walk to the ‘rue pietonne‘ and fifteen minute walk from the famous Menton market place. In addition, there are several restaurants and convenient stores close by.
The Menton train station is about 700 meters away. Commuting from the Nice airport by train is convenient, fast, and inexpensive. Please feel free to contact us if you need information.
There is no parking in the residence, but we can propose a private parking place about 700 meters away, should you choose to rent a car. This is free of charge. Please let us know when booking if you require this parking space.
Le Balcon d’Elisee owes its name to the Elisee Reclus Park that faces the residence. The park was named in 1927 in honor of the geographer, Mr. Reclus, who gave Menton its internationally famous nickname: Menton, the Pearl of France.

Excellent apartment with everything you might need for a comfortable holiday.The location and view were exactly as described, perhaps even better.The welcome from our host was friendly, helpful and very informative. The booking of a secure car parking space not far away was a bonus as we could leave the car safely tucked away and use the very good public transport.A further delight was the range of restaurants, bars and quality food shops within close proximity. Menton itself has lots to offer; magnificent gardens, beaches, shops and walks, and glorious late September weather.We are so pleased that we chose this apartment, it was a comfortable base for a great holiday.

Superb and spacious apartment. Great views and convenient to everything. Catherine's meet and greet very informative and useful. Everything provided including beach towels. Beach is just a street away.
We would definately stay here again.

Lovely apartment, clean, very well equipped. Good file with information on local sights. Catherine was very knowledgeable and was able to advise us on things to see, walks to do and the local bus services. View of the sea and mountains as described. Would highly recommend. It is on the 3rd floor but there is a lift.

What a great flat! Excellent location with a view of the sea and close to the Promenade de Soleil. Lovely walk along the promenade into old Menton. Flat was clean, comfortable and quiet. Great boulangerie next-door - and a Carrefour Express close by (but I preferred going to the old market). Catherine, the host, was excellent - very welcoming and happy to explain everything about Menton and the flat (and local restaurants). I would stay here again tomorrow! Menton is my happy place! Thank you, Catherine!
