Wonderfully Clean and quaint.Footpath to beach not practical- but 5-7 minutes by car.Advertised property manager onsite if problems- but not so.A/c leaked through kitchen, ceiling, kitchen not as advertised: washing dish sink not functional due to maintenance need, not all burners worked, need some normal size pasta pots. We got creative cooking and did what we needed but it took longer to cook and clean up without the needed tools. Ooni pizza grill was also challenging to with door that fell off and no operations manual about getting pizza in and out. Would have helped to have info. Wok also not available for use ans would have been helpful.Location/ could not have been better. Better explanation on how to work the fireplace means we might have been able to enjoy but we were not sure how to known if the flu was open or if it happened to have cleared this season, after the winter.

We were in town with family and friends for a family winter wedding and wanted a space where we could gather together. The lodge estate was perfect-- it's very spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable and located in a gorgeous wooded setting. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped. We also loved the many card and board games that were available for use. At one point, we had some folks in the large living area, watching football, another group gathered around a table for card games, other sitting my the roaring fireplace, and a few more chatting in the kitchen! It was just what we had envisioned for our gathering. There's so much room-- no one ever felt crowded. We came in the very snowy winter-- we'd love to come in the summer some time and enjoy the lovely outdoor areas! Great stay! The photos posted on the website are very accurate. The owner was so helpful and flexible in all the time leading up to and during our stay.

This is an outstanding property! Check-in was a breeze and we had a welcome letter telling us of the history of the lodge. The lodge has everything you would expect of a log cabin in the woods - huge comfortable furniture, beautiful fireplaces, very comfortable beds --- PLUS this is sprawling. There was more than enough for our family group. On several nights, with windows open (yes they are screened) several in our group heard owls hooting and attests to the remoteness of the place. The kitchen was huge and very well stocked to the point we didn't have to unpack the things we brought..however we replaced what we could from our own supplies. We had one small issue that the owner was very quick to reply, ensuring our stay would be enjoyable. For large groups, this is the place to visit!

We had a great time at the lodge! The lodge had everything we needed for a large group reunion in a beautiful setting. We appreciated the host’s great communication and how well equipped the cabin was. Truly is a one of a kind experience! Close to downtown Northport, the beach, and other activities, this was a great place to stay.
