Wake up in this private and idyllic setting, soak in the hot tub after a day on the slopes, and hike right from the back door. The Hideaway has it all. Only a 10min drive from downtown Harbor Springs, The Tunnel of Trees, and The Highlands of Harbor Springs and Nubs Nob ski resorts. KITCHEN
The well-appointed kitchen has just about everything a gourmet chef could need to prepare a tasty meal. Outfitted with stainless steel appliances and a 6-burner gas range, there are plenty of tools, appliances, and glassware to cater to your crew. A few notable items include a crock pot, air fryer, blender, Keurig with a selection of Starbucks coffee pods and a standard drip coffee maker. The kitchen has seating for at least 8 around the massive island and views of the fireplace and Smart TV in the living room. A 4-burner gas grill is just outside the kitchen door for all your grilling needs. Second refrigerator/freezer in the garage.
OUTDOOR SPACE
Spacious patio! Beautiful, peaceful, and private wooded property is perfect for reconnecting with family and friends. Enjoy a star-lit night by the fire or watch a picture-perfect sunset in an Adirondack chair on the wraparound deck. Enjoy Happy Hour under the gazebo or come home from a round of golf or a day on the slopes and soak in the 8-person hot tub overlooking the valley below. *Please note that Northern Michigan gets a lot of snow. The fire pit and outdoor seating may not be available
LIVING AREAS
*MAIN FLOOR
The main floor living area boasts two-story vaulted windows that showcase the natural beauty this home sits among. It features a sectional sofa that’s so comfortable, you’ll never want to get up. The wood-burning fireplace will keep you cozy on cold northern Michigan nights. There is a 60” smart TV for enjoying a family movie or catching the big game.
*LOWER LEVEL
Looking for a place to quietly relax? Do your kids need an entertainment space of their own? The basement living room is a great spot! There is a giant sofa with "cuddlers" on each end and two comfortable loveseats surrounding a 60” smart TV. A beverage station complete with drink fridge will keep your thirst quenched. The game room is right off this living room and features a ping pong table and two arcade games.
BEDROOMS
*MAIN - 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Shared bathroom with tub/shower combo.
*UPSTAIRS - Primary King bedroom with cathedral ceilings, powder room with Keurig coffee maker, large walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with a huge shower and jacuzzi tub. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has a full bed. Both share a bathroom with step-in shower and twin vanities.
*DOWNSTAIRS – Bedroom 1 has a King bed and sitting area. Bedroom 2 features 2 single bunk beds (sleeps 4 total) and a queen bed, perfect for families or kids. There is a shared bathroom with step-in shower.
SKI LOCKER
This unique feature of our home is one of the greatest! The ski locker off the garage foyer is a prime spot to get ready for the day. There are six spots complete with hooks and shelves to store all your snow gear. There are hangers in the garage for your skis and snowboards as well. There is a heated boot/glove dryer in one of the lockers so your gear will be warm and dry for the next day. This space gives you a great area to keep gear out of the way and organized.
LAUNDRY
Full-sized washer and dryer are on the upper floor with plenty of counter space to fold laundry. Detergent and fabric softener are available should you need.
OFFICE
Have a bit of work to do on vacation? The office on the upper floor is a beautiful room with custom glass doors that fill the space with natural light. There even is a switch for the lights outside the door should you need a way to signal to your crew that you are on a meeting. Wi-Fi boosters are throughout the house to maximize efficiency.
TRAVELING WITH KIDS?
We understand how difficult it can be to travel with all the kid essentials. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We provide a pack-n-play (not including sheets), highchair, and kids’ dinnerware to save you the hassle.
TRAVELING WITH DOGS?
We know how important your 4-legged family members are and we want to make travel as easy as possible. We provide a large crate, doggie bowls, towels, blankets, and poop bags. We also have enzyme-based cleaners – we know accidents happen. **Please note, you are required to disclose breed and any history of biting prior to arriving with your pets.**

During the winter months, Northern Michigan is known for its picturesque snowfall—and yes, that means we receive significant snow accumulation at times. Our property is located approximately 1/3 mile from the main road, offering privacy, tranquility, and a true “up north” retreat experience. The driveway is regularly plowed and maintained; however, winter storms can be unpredictable.
We strongly recommend checking the local weather forecast prior to arrival and planning accordingly. While 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are not required, guests should be comfortable driving in winter conditions and prepared for snow-covered roads during active weather.
For many guests, the snow is part of the charm—perfect for skiing, snowshoeing, and enjoying a cozy Northern Michigan getaway. We simply ask that you use good judgment when traveling and allow extra time during inclement weather.

The layout afforded everyone privacy. Plenty of room for everyone! Our bonus was the office. I had three teams meetings, our future son in law had one board meeting and we all had some form of work, so the office was well appreciated! Our response to any questions was rapid! It was a very comfortable stay!

The Hideaway is a terrific home in the woods only 10-15 minutes from Harbor Springs. Our family of 12 loved the outdoor patios, hot tub and fire pit. Downstairs living area was perfect for movie watching and World Cup games.Living space is exceptional & everything was clean.Nate was extremely attentive to every concern. In planning, you should know there is only 1 small bath downstairs, which serves a lovely king bedroom & a great bunk room with 4 bunk beds & a king. Another bath on that level would make it perfect, but we made it work. Loved the town for 4th of July activities, Farmers Market, shopping & the beach. Mackinac Island is only 45 minutes away.We loved our stay at The Hideaway & adore northern Michigan.

Nate is a wonderful host. Very accommodating to any need or issue within reason. The groundskeeper who takes care of the property, clearing snow, salting ice, etc. was also available and friendly to be around. He even helped pull my son's van up the snow-covered hill by the house when they were leaving. I would recommend a all-wheel or 4-wheel drive during the winter.

Very clean and organized. The kitchen was completely stocked with dishes, pots & pans and pantry space. Tons of extra space and rooms allowed for a great experience when traveling with a large group. Thank you for everything!
