Originally constructed in 1840, this recently renovated home has pine siding interior, hardwood floors and rustic decor that complement the natural surroundings of the Adirondacks. Roam over five acres that include open meadows, a sunflower field, iconic barn, and pine forests, or stroll down to a secluded private beach on the East Branch of the Ausable River. A special feature of our property. New York State land directly across from the property protects the privacy of fishermen, swimmers and sunbathers.

What a cute find! From the moment you walk in, there's a pleasant wooden cabin smell that makes it feel cozy and welcoming. The cabin was clean and very spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. What we loved most was the beach access. The water was so clear and refreshing after a day of hiking the beautiful nearby trails. Our family made so many wonderful memories during our trip.I highly recommend this property.Thank you, Trish, for your hospitality and excellent communication.

This property had ample space for us, our two grown daughters and dog. The owners were correct when they said you could hear the river in the morning from the front porch. It was an easy drive to Lake Placid and equally easy to get to Lake George. We highly recommend the Keene Valley Farmers market on Sunday mornings, the Au Sable Forks brewery and the French bakery. The only thing to keep in mind is that pets are not allowed on the furniture so make sure your pet has been trained for that aspect.

We had a wonderful week in the Adirondacks and enjoyed this home very much. The house itself is wonderful and the location served our needs very well. There was one serious issue however. Our dog got her paw and face stuck in a glue trap near the wood stove. It was very traumatic for her as she tried to free herself and equally upsetting for my sister in law as she tried to first get the trap off the dog and then clean the glue off her. The dog was so upset that she wound up biting my sister and we were unable to get all the glue off her. The whole incident was really stressful and shouldn't have happened in a house that allows dogs and small children. I reached out to the owner and while an apology was offered, and the owner indicated that she would be considering alternate means of managing rodents, I was disappointed that our deposit, which was required for having a pet, was not refunded. Given the situation and the stress it caused everyone, it seems fair to me that our money should be refunded. Cora
