Originally constructed in 1840, this recently renovated home has pine siding interior, hardwood floors and rustic decor that complement the natural surroundings of the Adirondacks. Roam over five acres that include open meadows, a sunflower field, iconic barn, and pine forests, or stroll down to a secluded private beach on the East Branch of the Ausable River. The house was well-kept and accommodating. The river proved to be a fantastic spot to spend the day or cool off after a hike. An all-around great experience!

Location can’t be beat. Great hiking and swimming close by and a beautiful drive to Lake Placid for more activities. The property has an incredible beach and fire pit. The house has everything you need including a washer and dryer for cleaning off clothes after big adventures. We loved our visit.

We had a wonderful week in the Adirondacks and enjoyed this home very much. The house itself is wonderful and the location served our needs very well. There was one serious issue however. Our dog got her paw and face stuck in a glue trap near the wood stove. It was very traumatic for her as she tried to free herself and equally upsetting for my sister in law as she tried to first get the trap off the dog and then clean the glue off her. The dog was so upset that she wound up biting my sister and we were unable to get all the glue off her. The whole incident was really stressful and shouldn't have happened in a house that allows dogs and small children. I reached out to the owner and while an apology was offered, and the owner indicated that she would be considering alternate means of managing rodents, I was disappointed that our deposit, which was required for having a pet, was not refunded. Given the situation and the stress it caused everyone, it seems fair to me that our money should be refunded. Cora
