Stayed for a long weekend with my husband. Property big enough for a family. Beautifully furnished & equipped with everything you could need. Situated on a working farm in the middle of the countryside. The Bothy caters for a fabulously relaxing holiday/break a stones throw away from Carlisle & Penrith, with lots to explore in the Lake District. The hosts Richard & Alison are lovely & Alison is very helpful with any queries you may have.
Would highly recommend.

The property was absolutely perfect. Well equipped and very attentive owners. Everything was kept to a very high standard and was perfectly located to visit local attractions.

This is a lovely barn in a great location for exploring the lakes. The views surrounding the property are great. We enjoyed our stay, however, we found the beds to be very uncomfortable so did not sleep well during the stay. It would be lovely to have some lamps/floor lamps in the lounge to soften the atmosphere instead of bright overhead lighting. The hot tub was lovely to return to after a day in the lakes too, but we did feel a little uncomfortable with it being directly overlooked by the barn above.
On the whole it was a great stay in a great place and the owners seemed very friendly. Would recommend.
