The beams and fireplace are at least 450 years old, and many are older salvaged timbers. The kitchen has a Victorian tiled floor and the bedroom features a Tudor-style canopied double bed with matching window curtains and original beams. A short walk uphill to the town centre, supermarkets, local shops, pubs, a street market on Friday mornings, bus and railway stations, and downhill to the quay and the river for fishing, boating, extensive riverside walks and cycling at Dunwich Heath. The property was very quaint with lots of original features. It was comfortable and warm and spotlessly clean. Very friendly hosts and a small welcome pack on arrival. It is in a good location with close access to public transport if you want to leave the car behind. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Quaint, very cleverly furnished to suit the age and original purpose of the property, loved its quirkiness. Blessing was the en suite upstairs as you did not have to negotiate the stairs in the night.
