About this cottage rental
An affordable terraced cottage just 50 yards from the harbour at Seahouses. Plenty of things to do including boat trips to the Farne Islands.. Ground Floor:

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. 50 yards from the harbour. Only 50 yards from the harbour of a friendly fishing village, this traditional terraced cottage offers holiday accommodation in a popular tourist location. Seahouses offers many amenities, including an array of cafes, pubs and shops. There is a splendid golf course on the links close by and fishing and boat trips to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly. Bamburgh, dominated by its magnificent castle and well known for its vast expanse of golden sandy beaches is only 3 miles along this beautiful unspoilt coastline. The village itself has several historical buildings and museums to visit. The tranquil and rural setting is a great place to relax as well as being an excellent base from which to tour Northumberland. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 150 yards.
From the 4th of of January onwards, the twin beds will be bunk beds.

Decor is very dated in most of the cottage, but it is comfortable, well-equipped and we warmed to it over our stay and found it quaint and cosy. Probably worth noting that there is only a shower and no bath. My partner was also concerned about the lack of WiFi, however she found it was a 'hot-spot' (whatever that is) so no complaints. The area is ideal as a base to explore up and down the coast and inland, with boat trips and beautiful walks - the harbour, pubs, restaurants etc. are literally on your doorstep. We had no trouble parking, but larger cars would require more care. If you want somewhere clean and convenient and value for money this is for you, but do not expect modern and chic!

Great cottage in a fab location. Very comfortable and only a few minutes walk to all the amenities. Only slight down point is the lack of WiFi which causes problems when you have kids. Seahouses is a brilliant place for a holiday and Shafto Cottage is a great base.
