Whispering Pines Cabin is a cozy, quiet and private place to relax and enjoy with friends & family of all ages. Being nestled in the trees and right on the water, it's sure to provide you with the "up north" feeling you need. Want to get out and enjoy the relaxing 500 acres of river-fed Trade Lake? Hop in the canoe, kayak, or paddleboard that we have available. Maybe a boat cruise or a day of fishing is more your style? Launch your own at the public access just around the corner and tie up to the dock, or contact us about a pontoon rental. Jump in for a swim, or just enjoy the views while reading a book in the screened-in porch or sunbathing on the deck. The kids will love the swing set and scavenger hunts in the woods surrounding the house. When the sun goes down, snuggling up, telling stories and roasting marshmallows by the campfire will surely create memories that will last a lifetime.
You could spend your vacation days with no agenda, or pack it with activities any time of year. The fall colors open lots of opportunities for exploring nature or crafts with the little ones. During the winter months the swans come through in flocks, swimming up and down the river showing off for your entertainment. Our stay at the cabin was the most relaxing portion on our trip to the Midwest. Fishing on the water near the cabin provided non-stop action for the fishers in our group. And the pontoon was fun to use on the lake for cruising and more fishing opportunity. We will definitely be back again!

The house was very nice. We had a great time on the water for the weekend. We used the paddle boards a lot. When we were told there would be “limited” garbage bags I didn’t realize that meant only 1. Also no cleaning supplies to wipe down the table after eating or kitchen after cooking.
